They had 3 shots on net the entire 3rd period while chasing a tie. They only needed ONE goal!

Pretty ridiculous effort. I'm not discrediting Carolina's defense but they just gave up a game the other night to Detroit that they appeared to have locked down...so it's not like they aren't capable of being beaten.

MAF was great for the second game in a row, was it the playoffs? No, so he still does have a lot to prove this year. However he does look different, like there was a missing PIECE to his game for the past couple of years.

yeah, it also helps the Pens are playing a full team defensive game now. Hopefully this sticks for the entire season.

This seems to be a recurring problem with Niskanen. He puts himself in a lot of bad positions over the course of an 82 game season to get hit. Its bound to happen.
