Ive been saying the same thong about Bailey for a while. Time for a change. Thought they already figured it out with okposo on that line? He will be good on the second line. JT and him have zero chemistry. Bailey will be a good fit if given a real opportunity. - Cptmjl

at some point its up to the players to be able to perform... - Dan Petriw
Very true Dan but we all know you cannot fire all the players. It's the coach who will take the heat. Garth is going to be given every chance to make it work. Garth is also going to have the argument he gave the coach a lot of young talent to work with and did not trade it away like MM. |

I thought one of the most solid shifts the Isles had was an accidental line...Grabner-Tavares-Bailey...in the shift that drew the Isles' first power play. Had to be the longest forecheck they had. Maybe give them another look together if things are going bad offensively one night. I may be the only person around though who thinks Moulson could still put some pucks in the net on a second line with Nielsen and KO.
Tough loss last night, but a fun game to watch. I hope all the games against the Jackets have that pace. |

Cappy needs to learn how to put his forward and D lines together. He also needs to get KO and Bailey going somehow when the season starts. Leave Grabner alone and focus on KO,Bailey, Strait, and Amac. I'm not expecting a Cup this year. I want to see the guys like KO and Bailey progress under Cappy. - ses111
that pretty much sums it up. but why is he learning on OUR time??? He's still not an NHL calibre coach....which all falls back on Garth. JT's 5th season and NO MAJOR ACQUISITIONS to help him out. They've tried PA, Boyes and now Okposo. How were we not in on Jagr? Could you imagine him & Tavares on a line with MM? There's no more excuses for Garth. He's had time, money & cap space and the new arena to attract FA's. He's gotten no one of significance (Lubo was a salary dump by Anaheim). Our coach is a nobody who makes no sense in his decisions on a constant basis. Yet in spite of all that, the team has grown and gotten better on JT's back. Could we imagine what/where this team would be with a few upgrades to any/all positions of goalie, offense, defense and coaching?
Dan, steak dinner anywhere in NYC if you can pose the question to Garth and get a real answer. No one holds him to his word out of fear of being exiled. Where's the accountability???
To close out the rant: I'll say this, if we don't make it past the 1st round of playoffs in the next few years, don't expect JT to re-sign with this team. His name will be on the cup someday. But his agent would be remiss in letting him re-sign with a team incapable of giving him just a little bit of help. If anyone thinks moving from the Coli to Barclays sucks, just imagine losing Johnny to Pitt, Philly, Detroit, Toronto or worst of all, the rangers. |

If Garth doesn't know that most of his defense is crap, and blames his coach for that, then he can go, too. I'm not usually one to defend Cappy....we all know that it's Dougie who has to get on them when they sh*t the bed, which is ridiculous. I'm just saying that the blowing of leads for the most part is a personnel issue, and only the GM can fix that. |

jmo16 the time for excuses for Wang and Snow will be coming to an end once the Isles hit Brooklyn in 2015. They better be series contenders. Even in 2014, Strome and these young Dmen better be ready to make an impact. That is why I say give Strome and the dman all year in the minors if you have to. I do not want to hear they were rushed like Bailey. This is the last year I want to see guys like Regin and PMB taking up spots. |

Jagr isnt the answer, not even close.. Yes... I can imagine him sucking on JT's wing.
BTW we dont have a new arena to attract FA's.... we will in 2 years.
Could you imagine how good any team would be with upgrades to any or all positions.......
As for JT not resigning in 5 years.. if thats the case.. SO BE IT!
We trade him for a kings ransom.
There was a team before him, there will be a team long after him.

i love your passion
first of all no coach in their right mind would have taken this job two years ago. second they aren't firing cappy after they make the playoffs. third this team has been run off a shoe string budget. fourth if they do nothing next offseason then you have every right to get mad and storm the castle. fifth say what you want about cappy but this team does not get out worked sixth. when the isles win, its all of on tavares carrying the team and when they fail its the organization?? it doesn't work that way you can't whizz into a mr. coffee and drink tasters choice. with all of that being said even though we agree about 10 percent of the time i understand most of your concerns and i fully execpt they will bring in a first line forward and starting goalie next offseason |

Jagr is a WAY better answer than PMB, Regin, Boyes or even KO. Wanna bet who has more points end of season KO or JJ? (I'll take Jagr GIVING 10 - even money, please put your $$$ where your mouth is!)
Duh, captian obvious, we are not playing in a new arena YET but it's built and finalized, lease signed & DONE! I am merely repeating the words of Isles organization in respect that playing for Isles in Coli WAS a factor to attract FA's.
JT is a player that MAYBE comes around once or twice a generation. He's not Crosby-Elite but the next closest thing. To squander that opportunity is unforgivable. He is the player a GM DREAMS about building a team around. Garth's had 4-FULL YEARS to upgrade this team around JT. Draft picks aside, where's your answer to that? What's he done? JT trains like a beast and prob more & harder than anyone else on team. You're comfortable seeing him go? Garth would never trade him. His house would be set afire. But if it was because JT was thinking of signing elsewhere as an FA, WHO'S FAULT would it be that Isles never smelled the cup again? Player or GM?

Dude you literally are going back on the point you're trying to make. You're stating you're tired of the fill ins on the top line for tavares (i.e. PA, pmb, boyes, etc) and then go out and say we needed to be in the Jagr sweepstakes?? Jagr is literally the same exact thing as the previous names mentioned...a fill in. I dont understand how he would fix the top line wing problem. I understand the guy is HOFer, but he isnt anywhere close to where he used to be, and maybe has a season or two left. |

Dan, it looks like Clutterbuck will be ready to come off IR in the next couple of days. It seems like its decison time. There seems to be three possible scenarios. They can send Nelson down which I hope they don't because he has done a nice job. Reinhart could be sent back to his junior team. The final would be to waive someone. What do you think they will do? |
