It's not that complex. Outscore your opponent and you win. Pretty simple really. - systemtool

lol, debunked? You have to provide counter evidence to debunk something, not just say " uh, I don't care for those things" - Talkshowhost
The score is my evidence. You're new to this, aren't you... |

you're not going to get these guys to buy into advanced stats until the Leafs have a decent sample size of good stats. - DoubleDown
Yeah, I suppose. I thought pointing out how they did well, and won would help convince a couple people. but oh well. |

I'll never buy into it. It's an imperfect stat. In fact, I don't even know where our stats rank in these "advanced" stats, nor do I care.

They won in a shootout.
hardly a convincing win, it ended up a pretty even game through regulation.
I don't understand why it's difficult to say one team was strong in one area, and one team was strong in another and they both ended up scoring 4 goals? |

Nate Dogg and Warren G must regulate. I just wish they would do it without using Young Guns clips in their music. |

You can play well and still lose a game. I thought the Sens played well in some areas, and poorly in others.
Everything is not black and white in hockey, it's a complex game. - Talkshowhost
As well as they played the Leafs played better ...agreed. |

What exactly do you disagree with? I've said the Leafs special teams was impressive, and I liked what ottawa did at even strenght last night. Entertaining game. |

I agree, the Leafs played disinpliced, captialized on their powerplays and Bernier was really good.
Really don't understand the hate for thinking Ottawa was pretty good at 5v5 last night though. |

Dion's out the door, simply because of math. We have a lot of contract issues coming up, and he'll be too expensive. - AngryWhiteMale
I can't really see this, upgrading dions contract in reality doesn't take much from the Leafs via the cap rise. I don't see him getting much more than 7.. an extra 500k pinned on isn't a make or break |

Anybody still wanna dispute that bernier is the starter?
I love Reims, but bernier is the stud goalie we've been missing for a long time |

We don't hate your opinion that Ottawa was good at 5 on 5. We just don't give a (frank) because it meant nothing in the end. Nor would we care if our PP was good last night if we ended up losing. Its all bullpoop smoke and mirrors. |

Actually Ottawa being strong at 5v5 earned them a point though, so it did matter. |

Relax, Francis.
It was a good game for both squads.
Except Reimer. |

It is kind of funny to write Reimer off after one bad game considering he's had two pretty good half seasons. Early on Bernier does seem to have the edge in rebound control, glove hand, and puck handling though. Having two goalies like this is certainly not a bad thing. - daeth
Chances are very strong we lose the game last night if Scrivens goes in for Reimer. |

Le sigh une.
It's also pointless when you want to hide your loss in your back pocket and throw 5 on 5 crap around. |
