Of course, no doubt about that. But you can at least respect a guy having to sit out because the teams best player was being challenged by the opposing teams goon.

You could of just hired Roy.

He might, but it's not likely.

He is 28, and playing with Spezza now. That's one thing he didn't have before. Just have to wait and see.

Dion was very good last night....a couple of great plays in the final minute of regulation to secure at least a point.
- Zezel

His play is so bipolar sometimes it's insane. However, last night was a good night for him. It's hard because I really want to sign him up long term but if he's looking for some goofy raise I just can't justify it. Then again if we're looking to find a guy to play his minutes...we'll we'd have to give up big for that.

This will be Nonis's most important decision he makes.

I'm amazed at what it's like to see a goalie make a save on a shootout attempt.

Looking forward to signing all those guys, this is who I see being moved out.

Reimer
Kulimen
Gunnarson
Gardiner

I don't see Kuli going at all. He's a Randy Carlyle favourite and it's not like we would get a kings ransom at the deadline.

JVR sure is looking good to start the year.. I wonder if he's been working with Underhill as well.

In all honesty, I think it'll be a Sharks vs Leafs cup. Don't tell the Hawks fans I said that.

God no. What a disaster waiting to happen that is. I wouldn't want that clown anywhere near this team.

I'm amazed Bozak didn't lose the puck when he made that deak with those stone hands of his. We'd have won the game in regulation had anyone else been on the opposite end of that gifted cross crease pass later on in the third.

Eakins should give the media back their donuts or things are going to get real ugly.

If you really think Im going to believe this is the first time Michalek is playing with Spezza, you're not going to get very far in this thread. They've been together a couple of seasons now, we both know this. Problem is, they're both softer than butter so they're not healthy enough to help each other out watching from the IR.

I really hope not. My wonder is if he'll simply want to test the market after not really seeing eye to eye with the Leafs when he signed his last deal. Ultimately it turned out the team was right...but still might be some hard feelings.

He's one whom I hope we lock up during the year. 3-4 year deal at about a 10-15% increase is just about right to me for the length of the contract.

Anybody we lose, we lose as a UFA. This team won't be sellers at the deadline. That said, as much as Carlyle might like Kulemin, he will love Bolland twice as much. If we have to shed salary, it will be by losing guys like Kulemin and not our top 6 players. Sad reality, but it's how it goes.

I would love that. I also kind of see him testing the market...

There are two euro's on the team.... Gotta be weird for a guy from Siberia.

We're in agreement with durability there, which is my main point really. The one season they've both been healthy, he put up 35 goals. Like my original point, always being injured is his biggest drawback.

And i guess to a lesser extent, spezza.

Completely agree. They're not trading these guys at the deadline if they're in it.

Enter my point. If Michalek needs other players to make him good, then he really isn't that good a player to begin with. Which leads us back to my original comment: "He's a junk version of a good player".

Kessel, who can score 30 consistently with a center like Bozak...now that's a good player.

Although he is tad overpaid for providing that

... until you see what Pommenville got and then, well, that's the going rate for top 6 wingers.

Good morning, my Leafy friends.

Weird game. Didn't think we would come back from 4-2.

And I don't think that spinorama should be allowed on a penalty shot or shootout.

My two cents.

I wish Garth or Rick the degenerate would tell us what the population in Pommenville is. Or a weather update, at least.
