Well I do t think they're built to win now the way the Sundin Leafs were but they have a lot of key cogs in or entering their prime. Gt to take advantage of that. But they're set up nicely moving forward too especially with Bernier in the fold.

I hope he runs with it. His play is so much more calming, I love Reims for what he's done but hate seeing a goalie lying on his belly during scrambles, Bernier seems to stay calm. I know it's early but he wasn't taken in the 1st round for nothing!!!

For sure. Corsi/fenwick are fun to look at as well as they do show certain patterns regardless of how I troll them. They are fairly consistently misused and misunderstood online though and that is where my true problem lies with them. If you just look at them as a rough indication of a teams possession game they are fine. As soon as people try use them to predict team performance game to game or year to year they lose me.

There are some hybrids like relative corsi w/ QoC that try to cancel out a few of the problems with standard corsi but they're only decent at showing player performance (not teams) and even then it's not all that great. It's interesting but not something I can picture being used to determine trophy winners or anything.
