Tucker in his prime scored on those 75% of the time.

Totally irrelevant but Tucker was awesome.

He sure was. A pure Toronto fan favourite type of player. Like Clark, and soon to be Clarkson.

Bozak sucks. Why does Carlyle keep trotting him out there we'll never win with him out there.

This is the difference between Bozak and Grabo. It's not about points, but the situations outside of 5 on 5 play that put him on a higher level, and why the coach favoured him.

I'll stop being sarcastic and be serious for a moment here.

Bozak does seem to miss open net opportunities more than any other Leaf I can remember but as long as the Leafs are winning I can't really care all that much about it. Given who Toronto has on their active roster right now I think Carlye's line combos have been pretty good. Every line has had their moments.

Three very winnable games coming up this week.

This time next week we can be 6-0. Now that would be awesome.

But Corsi, Fenwick, and other statistical voodoo place Grabo far above Bozak defensively outside of last season!

Well we won a shootout, I don't believe it. These conference and division game points to start the season are huge.

I have a hunch the next game against Colorado could be a crazy one too.

That was an easy tap in for Bozak. Seems to get up tight when the puck gets to him. Needs to relax.

Thoughts on Rielly? I really would not be surprised to see him stay. I don't see what he learns back in Junior where he would spend the year skating through opposing teams. He needs to learn the defensive side of the game (even though I didn't see huge problems last night) and he stands to learn that better from Carlyle than in Moose Jaw.

Send him back. Especially if he's going to be sitting in the press box with a healthy roster.

I don't know about this situation. On the one hand I think another year of junior hockey to mature would be good for him, on the other hand, i'm not sure he will learn anything down there. Guarded minutes and a full year of being taught by RC might actually be better for his development.

I say give him guarded minutes. Out against the 3rd and 4th liners of the league. 12-15 minutes a game.
