Here!
Went to take a leak, grab a beer, and contemplate my thoughts....
PS: Wait for it.... - lumlums
Okay....
So based on tonight, I would ordinarily call this a tie.
However, there can be no ties.
So here goes. Dreams will be broken. Statuses will get destroyed....
Despite a few turnovers, Ranger had +2, and at almost 22 mins, was the third most used D-man in the game. While not as physical, he brought almost everything that I would expect from Fraser, along with a few offensive moves, and was an inch or two away from recording the game winner.
With this in mind, the winner of tonight's challenge.....
HE now has one hour to claim his prize |

This is true. I guess my mistake is thinking that the shootout can be anything but a giant joke. - Leeman4Gilmour
Nothing will convince me that the shootout should be a part of the game.

Reimer was more "accomplished" because of situation and not play..Cant understand why so many ignore that..
No big deal it's starting its course....It wont take 30-40 games to play out..Tonight will go a long ways and Bernier will take the #1.. - Fruitcakenipple
Reimer was more accomplished because he's the only one who has proven he can be an effective starter for a significant length of time.
Again, the guy holds our franchise record for save percentage. There's no need to tear the guy down. If Bernier is as good as you claim, you shouldn't need to discredit Reimer's legitimate accomplishments. |

Lost on both. But if this was a series of 500 games, it would even out for the Sens. |

I love the way that the Corsi lovers try to rationalize why their system fails to reflect reality.

Typical Reimer, some big saves and some soft goals. It's early, but Bernier looks way more calm and fundamentally sound. He's going to be the starter moving forward.

Yes. I find he gets better as the game goes and will take him a few weeks to put it all back together. The other thing I like about him is even when he makes a mistake or gets beat he puts all his effort back into fixing it. |

Love the way Reilly showed character tonight. He was on the ice for the 1st two Sens goals. Did he hang his head no? He shook it off & got more comfortable as the game went on. Actually made some nice rushes & almost scored the winner late in the 3rd. I like his style of rushing the puck as compared to Gardiner's.
Perhaps this season or next, Rielly may make Gardiner an asset the Leafs can trade. |

I see a little Cujo & a little Belfour in Bernie. Mabie we should call him Jofour or Cufour. |

That's me saying that I would make a decision, and thinking that his third period play did enough to make up for his shaky start.
Don't get me wrong, if it's a fight scorecard, it sitting at about 52-48. But I think he did JUST enough to get a glove tap. Especially given that he had to fill in somewhat for Gunnarson (played about 2.5 mins less than Ranger) who wasn't stellar.
PS: If we were sitting together drinking beers, I'd just let you buy me a beer and then tip the scorecard in your favour |
