So Michael, do you agree with boltprospects description of Barberio's first half of the game as a "skating dumpster fire" correct? I am starting to think that his AHL game won't be translating to the NHL,

Rinne is still a strong Vezina candidate.
Now anyone can enlighten me about Lindback playing the 1st game? I like both Bishop and Lindback but did the latter have a better camp?

Then you should read the Bruins blogger. He calls it that he was hauled down by Barberio and awarded a PS. Hauled down is this guy on drugs or was he just listening to The Bruins announcers. Must be blind, that was one of the weakest calls I've seen.
- tpd11

Yeah I read it last night and was like what?! he barely touched the guy.

Yeah Barbs looked terrible last night, especially early on. I am so clueless on why Aulie didn't play against a tough, physical Boston team?

I have a feeling listening to their announcers

eh, coulda gone either way but I guess they felt Lindback was their better chance tonight. His last game against the Bruins he made 32 saves on 34 shots so not bad. He made some big saves in preseason too but I have a feeling Bishop will get the start tomorrow night in Chicago so just a rotation probably.

haha i know, i dont know why his GAA is 18.46 with a .500sv% on my fantasy team, it must be an error or something... not sure what "the latter" is, but lindback looked equally as impressive...

im not sure why everyone in the league seems to think bishop clearly has the upper hand on lindback at all, its really not like that what so ever

lindback started last night , bishop will start saturday night, it will be like this for a while...theres no goalie starting over the other goalie yet...nd probably not for a while

Bishop i think will start stronger. his positioning is much better and he seems to track the puck very well. having said that, lindback took a while to find his form last year and you could tell his nerves got the best of him tonight. he was trying to do too much and the Kelly goal was a great example of that. the Lucic goal couldve been avoided if someone got a stick on the puck. cant let guys like that fire through the defense in the slot. Lindback's ceiling is very high, just hope the team helps him meet his potential

great blog michael no rust on you from the summer on the recaps , very good one..

we were the better team 5-on-5 and we outshot them , they are a solid team and we outplayed them , we just had poopty special teams like the blog said...

i thought lindback was good for us tonight, he bit hard oon the fake shot on the penalty shot but almost got him with a poke check on a great 2nd effort to make the save, but that was a sick deke..

dont know what iginla was trying to prove, but whartever it was it gave him a standing ovation so i guess it worked out......

radkos crosscheck at the end wasnt friendly, but i dont think he intended to give it to him quite that hard , sometimes when you get the crosschecks the guy stays up and the guy ges down it all depends on the sudden impact of the crosscheck so oh well

all in all a fantastic awesome game if you take away the PP/PK...i hope i dont have to say thatall year, its hard to think i will with st louis stamkos hedman carle filppula purcell and the gun line all options for the pp.....we should have one of the best

Thanks, bud!

I was legitimately worried. It's taken me much longer than normal to write these blogs because I haven't done it in months.

so Michael maybe you can answer the question..why not play Aulie last night? from what I saw from him in the preseason, he was logging big minutes in the games he played and played very well doing so.

ya lindback played decent but made mistakes! when they had the penalty shot somehow I knew they would score before the shot took place.
- todd1a

same here. It's one of those things where we know we got screwed, and we know what the result of that opportunity will be.

You got me there. I would have played Aulie against the Bruins and saved Barberio for a smaller, less physical team.

I will make my decision after some time , but as of right now based on last season I will say lindback , but that may change we will have to see ... I agree bishop is more calm and position wise is more technical , I love the way bishop attacks the pick too , but I think lindback is so athletic he will form into his own very soon

Our two corrections for next game:
1. If Salo is still out, play Aulie instead of Barberio
2. Give Bish a shot
