Nah, alternate the first two games - done.
Then go with the hotter hand for a couple of games (win/lose) and than rotate for a couple of games.
Goalies cant play with a one and done mentality all the time.
They each need a couple of consecutive game stretches.

The lose and you're out scenario doesn't work. It adds excess amounts of pressure to a goalie that already has enough to deal with. A goalie is best when he is in his groove calm and collected. Not worried that if he loses he might not play again til the other guy loses.
