I will let Nonis and Dreger know

Thanks

I don't think they would care, it's just some Richards opinion!!

Can we afford to trade a D for a forward?

Leafs recall devane.

I found this to be an odd move. Lose a D on IR, so they recall a 4th line forward to fill his roster spot. I was sure MacWilliam was going to be recalled. oh well.

I'd think the Leafs biggest need (aside from that #1C that isn't coming) is a good young affordable stay at home dman. Doesn't seem like a good fit.

The leafs need a decent forward prospect or 2...they have one of the worst F prospect groups in the league..adding a couple of those wouldnt hurt either.

yup ....prospects and picks would work too. Probably too early for that kind of trade though - unless someone knocks your socks off. #2firsts+1second

Maybe Rielly goes in on D and Devane goes in and lets Ashton rest his face for a few games.

I get that people watch the highlights of a flyer running someone over and then look at his stats, see that he does not put up points and assume he is just there to stir the pot
, but sometimes you have to peel back the onion.

We have had season tickets in our family since 1970 and I have prob been to 30 plus road games. I know a waste of space when I see one. The flyers have certainly had them. Not as many of late as many think, but we are not innocent. If anything we actually do not hit enough and are losing our identity a bit. They miss Richards in that regard.

Regardless, to simply put Rinaldo in the thug or tyrant category after a very effective season last year is ignorant.

I'm just trying to help the young folk out. That's all.

- acmilano3

since the 70's - then you would know first hand your organization has been run by criminals forever, and they love to have a team full of goons.

Rinaldo is an absolute joke, he is not close to a quality nhl player, he is the same type of player as matt cooke but with less offensive skills.

hes a head hunter. sorry the truth hurts.

yeah i see what you mean. they do a lot more than just scrap. hell even Orr has reinvented himself to have better offensive totals.. 5P last year in a shortened season, by far his best.

I am hoping to see McClaren used on the PK as well.. versatility in the bottom 6 is becoming a very important thing in this league. I dont know a whole lot about Rinaldo so I will take your word for it on him.

big_dion must have enjoyed the caps game...

Another point for Grabovski and the game winner on the shootout.

I wish him nothing but the best. And I was serious when I said I think he will torch the Leafs one game this season.

dont be so sure.. a young solid 3rd line winger would be helpful.. allows nonis to put kuli on the block.. cause lets face it.. he'll be asking too much to keep him

might as well get a return on him.. especially if moving a young d-man can bring in a equal or better replacement

No doubt now...Leaf management is lurking HB, taking all of our sound advice to heart. Proof in the Devane call up. We are awesome.

Ashton needs some time off, we'll see if this is the reason for the call up.

Ya maybe ....I think they're hoping a few of the kids on the farm might fit that bill as well - Ashton, Biggs, Broll, Leivo, etc...

I just think the D is where they need to do some active planning. Is Phaneuf a cornerstone? He's going to get a long term big dollar deal somewhere. Is Franson a top 4 guy? Can he replace some of Phaneuf's minutes? They have to make big decisions on both those guys.

someone will offer him 3 million.. and the leafs cant swing that with their cap mess.
