I asked the same thing, but the best we could come up with was that it was done as a paper move for the cap. He was on the roster as a low paid rookie until Pronger was placed on LTIR. - Hextall271
Ahhh that very well be the case yes |

Guys please tell me the logic of scratching Laughton for game #1 and then loaning him to Oshawa the day after... - Giroux_Is_God

He won't need to do much fighting with Rosehill standing guard. |

I wouldn't mind that problem if they had done better than 1-7 on the PP, or whatever it was. Last nights lineup just felt kinda weird all over. I thought the defense was paired well, but aside from that a lot of curve balls were thrown. - funmaster18
I'll tell you what. I really liked what I saw from Vinny. Too me it almost seems like Giroux is flash, Vinny is function. I know I'm going to get killed for this, but I wouldnt mind seeing Vinny on the top unit.
As a matter of fact, I would like to see Vinny play on Roo's wing a few games. Just the way he slows down the game, and feeds the puck.... I think it will instantly give Giroux what he had with Jagr.

Be sure you know where you'll play! - bodiva88
my wife has already done some research and connected with a guy who runs one of the leagues there. claims it's a small but tight knit and competitive hockey community. assured her i'd find plenty of opportunity to play. it's a key factor in where we ultimately end up. has to be a rink within an hour's drive, preferably 30 minutes or less. |

Talbot and Couturier got 11 minutes, so you were right. He really should be on the 2nd PP unit ahead of Meszaros.

Coots did at least go 8/11 on faceoffs. - Feanor
Couturier got some PP time early in the game. Laviolette was alternating him with Schenn on the PP. But Schenn showed a lot more jump in the game, leading to Schenn playing almost 20 minutes. |

That would leave the Flyers too top heavy, and too easy to defend in my opinion. You want Lecavalier to anchor that 2nd line to give the Flyers a 2nd legitimate top scoring line. Giroux and Lecavalier are the teams best playmaking Centers. |

I seriously don't understand why people still want Schenn on the 2nd line, and Simmonds on the 3rd. Schenn's been so bad. |

When was Schenn so bad? In the Pre Season? Schenn was one of the best Flyer forwards last night, playing almost 20 minutes of ice time. Couturier was one of the best Flyers forwards in the Pre Season, but he wasn't last night. Pre Season is over. And right now, Schenn earned that ice time last night. We can differ on the line combos and where each player fits best. But I don't see what the Pre Season has to do with anything at this point. |

Mutant hornets. One of them can kill 50 honeybees per minute. So far 42 people have been stung to death. |
