Just saw that Laughton was sent back now. Very good news IMO. I didn't see enough from him to merit him staying and he can't be scratched. Very curious as to why he wasn't sent back before this though.

It's been posited that it was part of the cap shell game to get compliant for the start of the season. Just a guess, though.

The Dirt Cheap doesn't work in that arena. You can't lick dropped ice cream off the floor for less than 5 bucks.

How cool would it be if every player had thier own goal song, and that was Schenn's.

Many a championship was spawned in that arena. The price you pay for success.

The famous "almost". The Flyers almost scored more then one goal in the game last night.
- MJL

He eliminated the power play. Then Colton Orr gave it right back.

If the Flyers weren't sold on Laughton after training camp, why risk losing Adam Hall to waivers on Sunday?

I was thinking that might be part of it, but not sure how that worked in the org's favour for the cap. Maybe it was a guy on the roster with a small salary?

Not a bad song but don't like it for a goal celebration.
- funmaster18

Doesn't matter, we won't be hearing that much of it anyway.

He did no such thing. The PP was not eliminated. There were 3 calls on the play. One to Rosehill, and two to the Leafs. Which is why the Flyers got the PP. I'd be happy to provide the link to the game summary for you if neccessary.

Maybe.

The Salary Cap shell game has to be the rational explanation otherwise Homer might be off his meds or something for the 180 degree turn on a player considered a top prospect.

It just seems like the Flyers give very little value to most 4th line guys.

You apparently do, because the Flyers got the PP. But you want to use a bias against Rosehill to make an inaccurate statement to what actually did happen. And if you want to use woulda, shoulda, coulda. I can do the same and say that Rosehill actually drew the PP by antagonizing Orr. That game is a two way street.
