Meh, pretty tame today. Disappointment, but not so much pessimism as you'd think.

Oh sweet. So, Kris Newbury is now a member of the 4th line and Laughton slides?

AC/DC TNT? Odd choice, but better than that infernal doop song.

Going back to 1976 for the goal song. Living in the past. It's in line with the archaic thinking of playing an "enforcer".

Not a bad song but don't like it for a goal celebration.

One game does not make a trend.

I saw some things I liked (effort, Mason was pretty good, #40 looked pretty comfortable) and some things I didn't like (juicy rebounds with uncovered trailing men).

Plenty of time to make corrections.

With Laughton back in Juniors (I'm perfectly fine with that BTW) and Newbury called up, I think one of 2 things will happen in a couple weeks or so.

A. A trade for a 3rd line forward will be made
or
B. Raffl will be brought up

What is the song? Missed it on the TV as I was too busy virtual high-fiving my nephew after the goal.

TNT. Which seems like a song you would use between periods in the arena, not when a goal is scored.
- mcefalu

It will be fine once the crowd starts chanting the "OY" part of it. I mean who would have thought History of Rock and roll would have been a great goal song?

Haha I'm bummed they lost but I think we might be able to get a win vs either Florida or Carolina.. We'll need a shut out though.

solid game by the flyers. 1-7 on the PP, missed penalty shot at 1-1 at the end of 2, 2 breakdowns in front of their own net. that's the game.

they clearly got frustrated after going down 2-1, and the leafs did a great job in causing said frustration.

overall, i liked what i saw. a ton of effort. no quit. just not enough execution, either at 5 on5 or on the PP.

mason was solid. no fault on any of those.

Just saw that Laughton was sent back now. Very good news IMO. I didn't see enough from him to merit him staying and he can't be scratched. Very curious as to why he wasn't sent back before this though.

So you were happy that he took a roughing penalty on Fraser that almost eliminated a power play?

Cool.

- bradleyc4

The famous "almost". The Flyers almost scored more then one goal in the game last night.
