JVR should have buried his last chance.

He looks faster, hoping he has big year!!

- Garnie

He looks good already - best offensive forward to date - Barb Underhill again, making him faster.

That one goal in 7 PKs really pissed me off.
- Canada Cup

Right because having the puck on your stick with time and doing nothing with it but turn it over in your own end on the PK isn't concerning.

Things have a way of balancing out over the course of 82 games....

He will get plenty of time.

I`d be surprised if RC even plays the hybrid Lebda/Finger 2.0 known as Ranger after what we have seen so far.

If RC hated Komi and his stupid play and trips to the box @ 4.5 mil I`m sure he will have no problem sending the Ranger @ 1mil to the scrap yard.

Where's Dozzer?

Has Franson's play softened you on him yet?

Given the 2 preseason games and the 2 reg season games I don't know how anyone could think that Franson is not one of the top 2 dmen on this team. He just is.

Ranger as bad as he's been is still ahead of Gardiner in RC's book ( I believe )

Yes, he's had a couple bumbles but looked pretty good.

It's early so we will see

It may not work with the cap, but I'd rather see Liles playing in place of Ranger at this point.

Man, I love reimer-he seems like a great person and he battles for every save. Great attitude. But bernier is just a better goaltender. He looks like a future stud.

Yes. He's been the most consistent dman IMO. Considering his short camp its good news. Lets find a quick skating defensive-minded LH dman to play with him and lock them both up.

My thoughts from yesterdays game:
1. I'm more than happy to be wrong about Bernier. I hoped he'd be good but wasn't sure he was really an improvement on Reimer. He just looks so steady in the net and I love the fact it's not an adventure when he handles the puck. I still love Reimer, but having two guys is something that makes me believe we can win any game at any time, even when the competition is deeper or stronger.

2.Gardiner and Ranger performances.....Gardiner will get better, and I truly believe so will Ranger. Many of you may forget, the first 5 games or so last year, Mark Fraser was getting the Holzer treatment. Let Ranger get comfortable, he hasn't cost us any wins and neither has Gardiner. Also love the fact that Carlyle is getting down and dirty in communicating with Gardiner what he needs with him, like one-on-one rather than just ripping him in the media. Again, patience guys, I think these two guys will work out, Gardiner especially.

3. Franson: I don't think we can call him just a 5/6 d-man anymore. 25 minutes and 22.5 minutes in the first two games, and continuing to help the PP. He's a legit top 4 d-man and he's getting better.

4. I really like Bolland, hell I like all our forwards. And I think we can lay off with the Bozak hate. He's doing just fine.
