What if Hank and Cally leaves? Speculation is fine on message boards but it's just banter at the end of the day. People act like Nj never signs or retains top end players. Schneider is from MA, and wants a starting position for big money. He'll get both if he stays. No guarantee he'll stay but you guys are acting like he is already gone.

Not me. I think the torch is being passed to him. Granted he is not 22 but he still has a good 6-8 years in him

I am curious what the Rangers will do when both Cally and Hagelin are healthy. I think Fast might come out but don't think Miller will lose his spot. He is gonna be a huge contributor to this team. Richards might play himself out of the lineup by game 10.
- TPC

I would say yea Fast probably goes back down but hey if he's playing better than Miller send Miller down.

I don't see Richards doing that even Vigneault is saying he deserves to be in the top 6, that's why he's on the wing. He'll be here for the long haul this year, just have to hope he's actually playing well while he's here, not injured or taking up space on the 3rd and 4th lines playing 7 mins a game until they buy him out.

but who is the goalie if we let Hank walk?

at least when the Rangers let Giacomin go they did it because they had JD ready for the job

- jimbro83

If memory serves, we traded for JD. It's not so far fetched.

why not trade hank's rights to the oilers for a 2015 1st at the draft, let talbot start a year so we finish dead last, draft mcdavid with our 1st overall pick in 2015 draft and draft someone else sick with the oilers 1st rounder, then sign schneider as a UFA to a 7 year deal later that summer?

I didn't realize how much the Flyers announcers are homers, a couple of times I was wondering if we were watching the same game as them

The Red Wings power play looks

I'd actually like to see Boyle on the Rangers power play, tell him see that crease line, you stand right there and keep looking behind you. When the goalie moves, you move, that's your job. Besides a screen, puck might hit him and bounce in. The Rangers never have anyone in front of the net.

I kinda like that idea. But you are right. The guy always in front is Ryan Callahan but he's 5 '11, but plays like he's 6'5. Boyle should watch him.

My bad, I didn't mention Callahan, besides him I meant. And like you said he's a little guy that plays big. Size in front of the net is so key. That's why I was happy when the Rangers got Clowe, he stood in front of the net and scored garbage goals for the little time he was healthy. I was sad to see him go, especially to NJ but obviously that salary was way too much for him to be kept, not worth it. That is the one thing that concerns me with this Ranger team besides scoring is that size and toughness factor.

With the Parros injury, it has sparked the fighting debate once again even though he really wasn't injured in the fight. Personally, I feel fighting still has a place in the game. I think there would be more injuries in the game if fighting was eliminated because that would give the weasels no fear of repercussions from the other team so I think you would see more dirty hits which would lead to more injuries. Just my opinion.

I'd trade Lundqvist and DZ to chicago for Seabrook, Whitney, Danault, Saad, and 1st rounder.

So Jesper Fast might only have 1 game to make an impression with Callahan possibly back on Monday. Would love to see the kid have a game and force the coaching staff to make a tough choice on who comes out for Callahan.

You want him signed? Fine. Sub Whitney with Crawford and add another 1st or Teravainen.

Wild end to Ducks vs Avs game. The coaches Roy and Boudreau screaming at each other even, Roy pushed the divider between the benches all the way over almost!
