they sure do, unfortunately we can't follow the Blackhawks model because we'll never be worst in the league and get the top pick in the draft.

I know, but we can't carry that banner forever.

Probably three or four, and that's my point. On the Pens Hank is at least the 3rd maybe 4th best player on the team.
- OLDSCHOOL#6

Id say 2nd or 3rd. Crosby then its hard to go between Malkin and Hank. But I think Hank brings more to the success of a team than Malkin when you already have Crosby. Its a hard one for sure.

the only way to build our team the way the Penguins and Blackhawks is to completely tank for a few years which isn't going to happen.

The Kings won a Stanley Cup on the back of a goalie playing out of his mind, and that's the only chance we have

Disagree they could trade Malkin for some solid players and win with Hank & Crosby being your two best players surrounded by a solid roster.

If they are going to tank, tank for the 2015 draft. That is the year to tank!

Well, they light up Hank on a regular basis, especially in Pittsburgh.

Our big bodies and forechecking really wore the competition down. But hands down Quick was our best player when healthy. But he will tell you. He owes his success to the guys in front of him.

Hank still wouldn't be the best player on the team. That's once again my point. Besides Crosby is head and shoulders he best player in the game. He makes guys like Dupuis superstars.

the only two teams who have won playoff series in each of the last two years are the Kings and Rangers, Quick and Lundqvist.

And theyre two of the best. Hank stays. Unless the Rangers low ball him bad. Look at Quick and Rinne contracts. He should get one of those.

ok most teams need their goalie to be ONE of the best players on their team to have a legit shot to win unless you have that rare team that is really stacked on offense and Defense and get by with just a good to solid goalie.

Please sign him, because then Homer would do something retarded like offer Henrik 7 years at 9M/yr then trade Giroux

Well, it's very simple really. Quick has a ring, Niemi and Crawford have a ring. Even Fluery has a ring. Hank? No ring.

and yet he has only won one cup. Why because he doesn't have a goalie like Hank

Neither am I. Hank isn't going anywhere.

There will, however, be some casualty next year that people aren't going to want to see go. My bet would be in Girardi, just because of the defensive depth in the organization, as much as I would hate that.

I also have to be honest, I would be a little concerned about giving Cally $6 million per long term with the way he plays. But, that is going to be the price of doing business it seems.

Just counting down the time until friday night. I see Schneider is now starting in Pitt and Marty against the Isles friday night
- Vukota

You got lucky. Cory has been unbeatable thus far. I'm thinking Marty is going to see less and less time as the season goes on. It kills me to think of a new netminder owning NJ's net, but it was bound to happen. Marty looked very slow to me in the preseason.

Hank shut out the Caps in games 6 and 7 last year, held Ovechkin to one goal on 30 shots, he tried I assure you
