I don't know if I like Eakins.
- Oilers4Life14

(frank) ya- Eakins is the man- he has the balls to call a spade a spade... Only thing I would change with him is remove Ryan Smyth from the top line as well as PP... and ESP in the dying minutes of a game... FFS that was carryover from Renney and Kruger.... Other than that at least he has a system... and the players are playing it or starting to play it or WILL play it...

poopty or not, every game people complain about Dubnyk yet if you watch any highlight other goalies let the same in.

Don't get me wrong, Dubnyk needs blame but look at the goalie stats so far this year. They all suck outside of 4 guys. I still think Dubnyk's biggest problem is he doesn't get caught out of position enough and isn't forced to jump accross and make that hard save that shouldn't have been hard in the first place, but the fact that he doesn't move so much he doesn't get caught like other goalies. Yet no one gives him credit for that.

His SPCT just doesn't lie. His size hurts him in the eyes of the fan.

Unlike Doon when you are that big that extra inch doesn't matter.

Trouba looked good, but no way in hell that goal should have went in. Same with Scheifle. You got two points served to you on a platter by bad goaltending tonight.

Just stole this post of Iggy's from the other thread by Tessier. Here's the thing how many of our goals shouldn't have went in? Why isn't there people blasting Pavelec for letting in Gazdic's goal or hemsky's or Gordon's?

- Lahey

Because Pavelec is the best goaltender to ever play in the NHL (clearly demonstrated by his stats) and because he only allowed those goals to keep the game close and make it exciting for the fans who paid their hard earned money to attend.

Well that's just it. Do we get a 6'1" guy that ends up getting out of position which results in goals or do you stick with Dubbie who may let some bad ones in throughout the year as a result of his reflexes?

I think Duby will bounce back and have a good year. But 3 of those goals were very low percentage shots that should have been saved. I think he'll calm down and get it going. He also had some rebound control issues. He looked a little jittery.

I don't know what this is. A farmer that smokes, a farmer who's daughter smokes?
