Doctor: "I've got bad news and I've got good news"
Patient: What's the bad news?
Doc: We amputated the wrong leg.
Patient Oh My God...what's the good news?
Doc: You're bad leg's getting better.

I counter your arguments and say that, with proper ice time and development in Calgary, that Colborne turns into a strong 3rd line center. Could take another year/two, but I think he'll do well in Calgary. But then again, Ive got to.....right?

Is RNH even old enough to buy beer?

And that Mop would be far too heavy for him to pick up...

my sister used to call me that, too funny.
- bixll

I still call my sister that . She has the mentality that she knows more than everyone so I don't bother arguing with I just resort to name calling and arguing like we're ten cause it drives her nuts.

Ranger looked like a Toyota from the 80`s

Built out of Rust.

On the Eller (I think) goal. I couldn't believe Ranger let up chasing down the break away to let Gardiner by....

Will do.

Ilya Bryzgalov inconsistent (was a young backup at the time losing out to JS)
Jean-Sebastien Giguere inconsistent (56 GP 2.26 .918 18 1.97 .922 INCONSISTENT!!!!!)

Richard Jackman below average (Was their 7th defender)
Sean O'Donnell old so below average (Old and was a big part of their bottom-pair)
Francois Beauchemin average at the time (At the time played as many minutes as Nieds and Pronger)
Chris Pronger superstar (Got this one right, might have been the 2nd best defender in the game aside from Lidstrom)
Scott Niedermayer allstar but old so no longer superstar (LOLOLOL the Conn Smythe Winner is not a superstar? A guy with the most assists by defensemen is not a Superstar...you're drunk)
Joe DiPenta terrible (True)
Kent Huskins terrible (At the time he was a mediocre bottom-pairer)

Teemu Selanne very old (Had 94 points and 48 goals four from the Rocket)
Corey Perry allstar (Rookie not an all-star, showed it in the playoffs though)
Chris Kunitz maybe above average (60 points...average...)
Ryan Getzlaf allstar (Again same as Perry, though he became a monster in the playoffs)
George Parros crap (Fighter)
Dustin Penner crap (29 goals...crap?)
Drew Miller who? (Sure)
Andy McDonald average (First line centre had 78 points)
Todd Marchant average (He does piss us all off)
Brad May average (Again at the time he was actually a good penalty killer and fighter)
Samuel Pahlsson average (Amazing penalty killer)
Travis Moen average (Again he was part of that defensive specialist core that Burke jerked off to)
Ryan Shannon who? (Agreed)
Rob Niedermayer average (See above)
Shawn Thornton average (Solid defensive forward that could fight)

- AdamFrench

Guess I was looking at their entire careers and not one year...... also i would consider anyone on 3rd or 4th line or 5th or 6th defenseman below average..... unless they were exceptional and on an exceptionally deep team

You would have done the same...second thought, you would have made a line change before Eller scored.

Id like to hear Dregger call him a Top 4 on any team again after that game.

Alright time for random discussion of the day to pass the last 30mins of my work day

Discussion comes up in the Flames thread re: teams being rewarded to lose with lotto picks. So I added this thought.

How about the top 30 picks are a total lotto, then reverse order from then on. Bottom five teams get free cash which can be used for internal budgets or toward increasing their cap, thus giving them an advantage over other teams for said year.

Discuss.

just accept the fact that your analysis was way off base and that the ducks were a very, and i mean very well rounded team with leadership up the ying yang.
