List the 6th allstar on that team? Kunitz because he plays with Crosby? Not to mention Selanne and Neidemeyer both missed half a year the next year and Selanne played injurd for 2 years after that.. Hardly a dynasty type team....

im glad im not the only one who thought that was possibly one of the most idiodic things ive seen posted since the UG days
- Neiler

Idiots are the people who just say " your an idiot with no attempt to back it up"

You comparing this team to Oilers, Canadiens and Islanders of the past? Hardly a dynasty that was a lock to win the cup any year.

my honest opinion? He'll go back down....theres no way the Flames picked up Colborne to keep Monahan around...if they demote Colborne they lose him on waivers...and hes not a 4th line center.
- Colin Dambrauskas

In all seriousness, who are they going to lose Colborne to? Burke's the only guy who'd waste a roster spot on him.

He's not an NHL player.

Please explain.. Selanne was 36 but still good, O'donell was 34 and on the downside of a career at which he was always a 5/6
- jribout

Will do.

Ilya Bryzgalov inconsistent (was a young backup at the time losing out to JS)
Jean-Sebastien Giguere inconsistent (56 GP 2.26 .918 18 1.97 .922 INCONSISTENT!!!!!)

Richard Jackman below average (Was their 7th defender)
Sean O'Donnell old so below average (Old and was a big part of their bottom-pair)
Francois Beauchemin average at the time (At the time played as many minutes as Nieds and Pronger)
Chris Pronger superstar (Got this one right, might have been the 2nd best defender in the game aside from Lidstrom)
Scott Niedermayer allstar but old so no longer superstar (LOLOLOL the Conn Smythe Winner is not a superstar? A guy with the most assists by defensemen is not a Superstar...you're drunk)
Joe DiPenta terrible (True)
Kent Huskins terrible (At the time he was a mediocre bottom-pairer)

Teemu Selanne very old (Had 94 points and 48 goals four from the Rocket)
Corey Perry allstar (Rookie not an all-star, showed it in the playoffs though)
Chris Kunitz maybe above average (60 points...average...)
Ryan Getzlaf allstar (Again same as Perry, though he became a monster in the playoffs)
George Parros crap (Fighter)
Dustin Penner crap (29 goals...crap?)
Drew Miller who? (Sure)
Andy McDonald average (First line centre had 78 points)
Todd Marchant average (He does piss us all off)
Brad May average (Again at the time he was actually a good penalty killer and fighter)
Samuel Pahlsson average (Amazing penalty killer)
Travis Moen average (Again he was part of that defensive specialist core that Burke jerked off to)
Ryan Shannon who? (Agreed)
Rob Niedermayer average (See above)
Shawn Thornton average (Solid defensive forward that could fight)

I thought TSN picked it up

They may have picked it up to air up here, but it'll be chopped up and bleeped out. I'd rather watch it on HBO un-edited.

When I woke up this morning, my first thought was they should trade Gardiner, before his trade value goes down. He is gonna be 24 years old at the end of this season. I think defense side of his game as good as it now, no upside there.
We have Riley, Percy, Franson, he will be the same as Colborne, no place for him.
If they trade Colborne last year they would get at least a second round. We all know what we got for him....
I like the guy, he is awesome, but he got to go, before its too late!

I don't understand this mentality that already seems to exist where we trade Gardiner because Rielly can replace him?

We know Gardiner is good offensively and shaky defensively. We don't know what we have in Rielly yet AT ALL at the NHL level. So why is it assumed that he will be any better in his own end?

I don't think he will either. I'm just curious about the fan perspective that pops up here and there.
