LOL if you went to the penguins board once in the last 2 years you would see we're all sick of it and i think the organization showed when they signed Vokoun they were sick of it, particularly from Fleury. Vokoun wasn't brought in to be a mentor figure he was there solely so if Fleury sucked they still had a chance with a capable goalie. And i also see the bringing back of Scuds is another sign they have shown concern and are trying to solidify their D and i think it will be significantly improved this season as for the goaltending......we shall see.

marc andre is very good during the regular season. and zakoff, lol, deserves a chance just like everyone else does. no cap space, dude is a loon, and we have a solid #1 goalie(in the regular season). we are not gong to sign bryzgolnuts. if we were gonna make a move for a goalie it will be later in the season after we get a glimpse of zacoff, lol. and at that time it will be for a seasoned vet with a lot of exp. especially in the playoffs, some one who just wants to win a cup before the end of his career or perhaps another cup, brodeur maybe?

Bryz is a nut job. Wouldn't Jose Thoedore be a better solution? This way the Pens & there fans won't have to hear him say "I hef to get back in the NHL". But seriously, Theodore is who I'd be looking at if I was Shero. If Fleury falters again in the playoffs, who would u wanna trun to, Theodore or the idiot Bryz?

Yay made the ecf and scored what 4 goals and got swept. Yeah made past second in five years to do that not exactly promising results.

I didn't mean the fans. Unfourtanetly vokun is out for a while. Who else do you think you go after now? Yes scuderi was excellent pick up, hoped leafs would pick him up.

You have to give Boston the credit for the Pens only scoring 4 goals, they got them off their game and Rask played great. Two of the other years they were eliminated, they were without one, or both, of their best players. Not many teams are going to make it far without their superstars. But many other teams would take their recent success.

As far as MAF, he will have the shortest leash he has ever had. If he struggles at all during the regular season they will move him before the trade deadline. They will likely have to package him and Despres to get an aging/proven goalie that his headed towards UFA (Miller). Almost no one has any confidence in MAF. HCDB is just saving face by saying they have his back.

Moose and Jose are both available they probably come cheaper than bryz and aren't crazy and are suitable in a case of a quick stop gap. I still believe the penguins best option is to trade for one of the Blues goalies which would be tricky because they would have to make some cap space, but those guys are capable of being a starting goalie now and if Fleury falters again in the future.
