Girgensons or Foligno would be better fits IMO.. I don't think Larsson has enough offensive prowess.

I'd switch Grigorenko and Ennis. Ennis, even as a disaster defensively, is still much more productive up the middle than he is at the wing. I want to see them play Grigorenko at the wing. Give him less to think about, and also, his skating won't be as much of an issue.

I want Staff to be traded more than anything right now.

swap ott with leino and make sure larsson is center on 3rd line and those where the lines i thought it should be a few days ago.

I think they're all kind of similar in the role they play....they're going to be expected to dig the puck out of the corner and feed it to Vanek or CoHo.
I thought when Foligno was up there with them Vanek had to play on his off wing?
He's a natural Left Winger, so Larsson on the Right might work well.
....All speculation, of course.

Best case this season is that the Sabres are successful with Stafford being productive so that he can become trade bait at the trade deadline. With him off the books, Vanek and Ott can be resigned.

I predict that within the next couple of years, all three of these guys will be interchangeable offensively. None of their offensive ceilings are really that high. Girgensons is going to be most effective as a 3rd liner. Foligno caught lightning in a bottle two years ago, and is the son of a local folk hero, so his offensive upside is greatly exaggerated by many.
