I always played Be A GM before, but I'm playing Live the Life and I like i a lot. The Kelowna Rockets are lucky to have a 5'9 170 lb defenseman who is leading the entire WHL is goal, assists, PIM (by a lot) and hits...and turnovers.

See I have tried so hard to get into those but I just don't like it a ton.. I feel like all of the other players on my team don't understand hockey.. they don't crash the net.. they don't line up so that I can make a good cross crease pass.. they don't join the rush.. it is just basically me taking slap shots hoping that it goes in I feel like.

I also hated in NHL 13 how you could play a regular game in about 20 minutes but when you do the Be a Superstar thing with the inbetween shift simming and you can't call guys over to sub in and out as you please that those games took about 30 minutes or more.

I like the toughness of Ablekader (sp?)
They dont have the scoring depth that they once had but still have several elite players

- hubie

no doubt about that.

I also don't think that their defense is nearly as good since the big guy retired. I do wonder what Howard would look like as a goalie if him and Miller swapped jobs.

Buffalo Sabres Stats ‏@SabresStats 21h

Vanek career:
October & April - 113 games, .56 goals per game, .99 points per game, +25
All other months - 472, .40, .80, +9

70% was me overexaccurating but I was going by this...

- JVince117

He goes through a lull in Dec and/or Jan seemingly every year.

Comparing October and April (2 months) to Nov-Mar (5 months) isn't exactly a fair comparison.

Any team with a Pavel Datsyuk has the ability to win any game at any time. They will go as far as he will take them, C or no C.

Alfie and Weiss have no toughness to them at all IMO. Isn't Bertuzzi hurt or gone too? They both could be shells of what we remember them as.

Detroit is fading... I think they are beatable but still have very very good players just not as much quality depth as they used to.

- JVince117

I don't know that I agree on Weiss, we will have to see.

Alfie wasn't brought in for toughness, rather puck possession (Detroit's greatest strength) and scoring depth.

If Burt is a big factor for them this year, they're in trouble.

They're definitely fading, question is how much have they faded this year. I think they still make the playoffs and I don't expect it to be much in doubt. Just my $.02.

Absolutely. There just doesn't seem to be the depth that was there 3-4 years ago.

Burt is now a 4th line player so you are correct in that.

alfie is a upgrade form when they dried to do it with Modano but could work out like when they got hull. IM sure there is also some sort of lupole in the rules that autmatically makes them get in the playoffs.

Let's just stop with the hockey heaven nonsesne.
- sbroads24

Yeah Kevin, this is not, has never been & may never be "Hockey Heaven". Let's just pretend that term used to describe this city & the Sabres never existed.
The day they march the Cup down Delaware Ave is the day "Hockey Heaven" can be used. Kthanks.

I think what everyone is saying is that he is a .85 PPG, plus player, who makes a living on the PP.

Mason was the presumptive starter for Philly this year, if I'm not mistaken.
