Bernier has been ver good and quite fortunate about 8 times.

they seem to turn every goalie they face lately into Roy in the best game he's ever played on steroids.

Or maybe the guys just can't score the chances have been there, sorry but this way isn't on Lava.
- LJF

No, it's not. I'm not a fan of the lines, but they've worked. Two killer mistakes and it's 2-1 and they haven;t been able to solve Bernier

Is it me or does every goalie 'stand on his head' when they play the Flyers? Or do we just not have accurate shooters?

Jake does not seem to have the same strength against the boards. Lower back issues still, I assume.
I would replace Kimmo with Streit on first pp
Giroux keeps trying too many fancy passes that get picked off.

I think he (and the staff) get a share of the blame. Still the same old "no answer for a hardworking trap" situation. Players get their share for not converting on so many PP chances, and the coverage breakdowns. Plenty to go around imo.

Tough Sledding. They didn't drive the stake deep enough when TML were still resting in their coffins. <---Halloween reference.

Well the effort was there, but can't really give kudos for that. I mean a team with a ton to prove, playing on opening night at home.

It's a result business, and it was a very disappointing result. Obviously it's one game, can't go crazy.

(frank)ing Bolland scores again. Sickening.

Why is it that our shutdown pairing is always out when a goal against is scored?

How has coaching lost this game
- LJF

Note how Voracek is now on the first line, not third, he should have been there all game. Also, Mason is a back up, period. Emery instills confidence.

I feel better after this game than I thought I would. I'm not worrying about the PP. They had their chances and the leafs were #2 PK last year.

Sometimes you just don't get the breaks or a goalie gets hot.
