I noticed some odd line combinations. Did I miss an injury?
- Doc_Sarcasm

They juggled a little when Schenn10 was in the box. That could've been it.

Voracek skating with Couts and Talbot. Schenn on top line and Read on 2nd line

I think Laviolette deserves some credit for how he played this -- he realized that the lines from the preseason seemed a little off, and certainly Voracek being injured played a part, but he still had the stones to move some players around.

He deserves credit for that. The easiest thing in the world to do is nothing, leave the lines the way everyone thought they would be.

The PP is a mixture of players from lines, so coming out of those PP, there were some different combos. Such as 25/18/36.

If you can find it, from 1952 is a Benny program version of Bend In The River with Stewart...it's a riot.

I have a Benny app on my phone; great for yard work. I'll look for it.

They looked great. Aggressive but responsible. Good in all 3 zones. It's only one period of the first game, but they look completely different then last Season so far. I want to see them come out strong again with no letdown in the 2nd.

I agree with what you just said. Yes, we all know it's one period. But they look more balanced as lines than I've seen in a while, and Coburn-Timonen looks good.

Again, I realize what Mark Streit can't do. And there will be games where it will be obvious what he doesn't do well.

But I think he's been noticeable for the things that the Flyers need. I harp on this because it's true -- the Flyers really needed someone to do what Streit does. Both PP units look extremely dangerous.
