I have been saying this for (frank)ing years. Years!

Its like they are emotionally put to sleep by those teams.

It's like they need erotic asphyxiation to get going!

Rosehill is not in the lineup for the sole purpose of opening the door for line changes.
- MJL

You are right he will receive punches from Orr very well.

Enforcers do. A guy like Rinaldo or Shawn Thornton do more than fight. I'm talking about the guys who can't do more than fight.

Rupp was dead on balls accurate when he told Shelley, "I'm not fighting you, You're irrelevant"

- Jsaquella

I mean guys who are out there specifically to fight. Not necessarily 'enforcers'

Honestly, I don't know how many times can it be stated that no enforcer in the history of the game, prevented a player from doing anything. And hitting is part of the game. If you expect an enforcer to stop the opposition from throwing body checks at your team, then that is flawed thinking.
- MJL

the instigator penalty has also made things harder. In the past if a guy like Kaleta hit a skilled player and a guy like Shelley was sent out, Kaleta wouldn't have much of a choice in engaging or not because Shelley wouldn't give him a choice. Now you risk the penalty so you can't just beat the snot out of the guy

"I've been mad for (frank)ing years, absolutely years, been over the edge for yonks, been working me buns off for bands..."

"I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us have...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad..."

(Overlap these)

It's hard to write them like the song....since they're on top of each other, ya know?

"Flyer'd Up" is as lame as Paul Jolovitz's "Jolly Time"

imo, of course.

He's an excellent receiver...of punches. He went to the Cote school of fighting. "Let him hit you until he tires!"

I think that was a family guy episode

Typically i always cheer against Philly, but I find the smugness of the Leaf nation, after their single fluke appearance in the post season, irritating, and I hope you guys curb stomp them tonight.

Yeah, you don't think maybe being the laughingstock of the league and every other fan base caused some of us to perhaps enjoy a little bit of success a little too much. When you probably have the largest fan base in hockey enjoying the least success ... the recipe is not too hard to figure out.

Every fan base has their asshats, win or lose.

I think hiring Carlyle was the best movie Toronto made in years.

wasn't there some AHL goon who accidentally collided with Lindros when #88 was coming off of a concussion, and was skating with the Phantoms?

not sure if I'm misremembering.

Damn it! I was going back and forth thinking about Simpsons or Family Guy. I wasn't sure and I guessed wrong.

It helps, but this organization was so bad I just don't feel like a real contending team is anywhere on the horizon.

I actually think the Leafs are really solid.

Promising young goaltending, and some real good young talent on the back end.

They are built with toughness and size.
