I can see the match up, but I more prefer a cigar with really good scotch.

Double-digit goal totals in his first five seasons.

I was referring to the "piss on Eddie Shore" scene in Slap Shot:

Yup believe it or not I'm a dude who drinks single malt scotch and likes chocolate. Who'd a thunk it??
- BiggE

I'd happily buy you the scotch and share but watching a guy eat chocolate during a hockey game? Are we talking box of chocolates or a frozen snickers?

The thing with Laughton being scratched is had he really earned a roster spot out of camp he would be in the lineup tonight. He basically made the team by default.
- PLindbergh31

Did Gill and Gustafsson also make the roster by default?

Personally, I think Hall gives them a better chance to win than Laughton.
- PhillySportsGuy

I think Flyers brass truly believes Laughton can't develop much more in juniors but seeing as how AHL isn't an option, they might as well ease him into an NHL role. He hasn't stood out all that much, but he's been good enough to warrant some NHL time.

If you pissed in Eddie Shore, you'd be pooping out of your eyeballs from the beating that ensued.

Okay you can have your man card back. It sounded like you were eating it out of a gold box or a red heart or something.

Gill made the roster more by front office ineptitude then by default.

Oh so Gill made the team because Holmgren is clueless? Is that what you're saying?

Who the (frank) is that? The Pens would rather have Zatkoff than Bryzgalov.

I have no problem with the Gill signing. Low-risk contract and if all goes exactly as planned, he will play 0 minutes this year.

They would rather have Zatkoff, Smirnoff or Popov over Bryzgalov!

I'm sure he's much cheaper and less of a head case. Also, apparently Crosby "doesn't like" him.

"Yes, Mr. Shero, I have Ilya Bryzgalov's agent on line 1, Jose Theodore's agent on line 2."
