If indeed the lineups are as JJ stated, and I do not doubt him, one could only wonder if the Caps are adapting their system with a functional 4th line. Some skill, size, grit, two way game.

This henceforth will be known as the TG Theorem. Watch it spread around the NHL.

That model the Hawks used last year. The old school idea of 2 scoring lines, a shut down line and energy line are giving way to balance. Yes top heavy with skill, but the roles and responsibilities of lower lines has evolved. Hybrid lines, with scoring ability and balance.
