He was granted an allowance to take a medication (on their banned list) for his ADHD. He takes either adderall or Ritalin for it and has agreed to be subjected to drug testing because of it. He's passed 46 plus tests in the last year and half.

Not much to the whole thing really. (Other than he sucks, Schiano is the REAL problem and yes, the Buc's organization has gone in the sh!tter).

- Pairo11

He has singlehandedly taken that organization and flipped it upside down.

Makes sense, funny how they lose a couple of games now hes a drug addict and now want glennon as their QB.

Funny how quick the mobile QB is drifting to the past.

- hubie

I follow Thurman Thomas on Twitter and he obviously has friends in the league that he still talks to. He said that Schiano is a total cancer and is the real problem on that team.

It is????

Every QB is now mobile it seems... the pocket passers are the ones that are dying it seems...

this years draft class of QBs is all runners too besides UCLA's Hundley.. Bridgewater, Manziel, Mariotta, Tyler Kelly, Kevin Hogan, VTech's Logan.

Ryno? that you ol' sport?

Even if Vanek plays... you can tell when he isn't playing full throttle. 8 games missed is a useless stat IMO.

- MillerTime1130

I think I made this point about Vanek being Captain yesterday.

Vanek as C makes perfect Sense, if the team sucks they can pin it on Vanek and he get traded and we get new leadership next year.

You don't want a transition year to be captained by a young guy becasue if they suck, your trading your best player away and your still stuck with the same leadership. Why not start fresh next year?

If the team is good, Vanek stays and he is captain.

Either Scenario is win/win for the Sabres and the fans

You forgot the part where Vanek is the only candidate on this team that the rest of the league won't point and laugh hysterically at you if you name him captain.

Hodge is a captain in the making?

I think Girgensons is the captain in the making... or even Foligno.

I think the guy we are all forgetting about is Weber. That guy made LEAPS AND BOUNDS from 2 years ago to last year. Everyone talks about how vocal he is on the ice.

if it was me.. and it was my team...

C - Ott
A - Ehrhoff
A - Weber/Vanek/Myers

rotate an A.

- MillerTime1130

Yes Girgs is hopefully one in the making. He has yet to play NHL game though. Cody is a hardworker, a little experience, supposedly #1 center. I don't disagree with Girgs but too early for him. Cody at least has done some proving and is a little further along. I like Weber and all but he'll never be a star for any team. He gets an A at most. I agree rotating as well. You have very good points and I enjoyed you sharing. Ott is my favorite on the team but it is kind of tough to give a shield licker the C, no? If you give him the C does it take a little grit away because you don't want to be in the box too much as the Captain? Just a thought because I initially thought Ott for sure until someone brought that up to me

I am sorry.. but resigning a 30 year old pure scorer with no defense abilities... for a huge contract.. is just not in the best interest of this team IMO.

I feel like each year he loses more and more of his game.

- MillerTime1130

i respectfully disagree.... you need guys like Vanek for experience and scoring and his defensive liabilities are not bad for a offensive player.

With this teams track record the C will probably go to Brian Flynn.

Yea.. I made a few of those points in other posts too..

Girgensons is my hope for like 2-3 years down the road..

I don't know if giving Ott the C would take away his edge and grittyness that makes him Ott.

While I don't want Ott to be the captain, I think the notion that he'd change is way overblown. The guy has a screw loose, and always will. The "C" won't change that.

Or more like if he had a center that could get him the puck or had a good defensive around him or if other lines could score or etc etc.... Hell Crosby would be average on the teams we had the last 4 years......
- JoeSabre

Oh god the Vanek excuses. Here is his season in a nutshell

First 20 games- Superstar
2nd 20 games- Pretty good but pace slows down
next 30 games- Banged up, falls off face of earth starts taking lazy penalties
last 10-15 games when we are already out of the playoffs- SUPERSTAR

Right.

Lets stop being a joke of an organization and make moves that make sense.

That being said, I am fearful of the Sabres decision making ability. I won't be upset if Ott gets it. So long as he still licks facemasks and pisses other teams off.

The read-option is just like every other new offensive wrinkle in the NFL. When it was new, it worked. Once the Bill Belichick's of the world figure out how to stop it, it no longer becomes the offense every team needs to run.

So what your saying is that we have a superstar, PPG Player 1/2 of the year?
