Per CapGeek, it's a paperwork technicality for how LTIR is calculated.

Not sure what that means. Where did you see that at?

So when the Flyers bring up Hall their AAV available goes down by his cap hit, correct? Looks like they're in decent financial position, but injuries can change that pretty quickly.

I asked them via Twitter. It's LTIR. They said that they have it calculated correctly on their site.

That's what I thought. Capgeek has sources at the NHL office. Bourdon was placed on LTIR.

Not exactly an answer, but here's a snippet about Tedenby who was also on it:

"According to the CBA, because Tedenby spent the majority of last season in the AHL (he played in only four NHL games) and then was injured during training camp, he could not be placed on injured reserve and had to be designated as an injured non-roster player."

Don't worry, Rosehill will be centering the first line in about 3 weeks.

only coby, schenn and gus are in their prime or approaching it. all of our other dmen are on the downside of their careers, whether due to age or injury concerns.

Does the visiting team have to submit their roster first? I suspect if the Leafs dress Orr, that Rosehill will play.

I think it will be a great move.. Pound them into submission. Hell, we cant score goals so we gotta do something... ANYTHING!

its better than the eagles/earl Thomas situation. even though we didn't draft dougie, we got a good plyr in couts and we have a serviceable d. the eagles are (frank)ed w/ Allen @ S and graham by the scheme change.

Our D may be expensive but our goalie tandem is probably the cheapest if not THE cheapest int he NHL as well.
I'm not going to worry about overpaying D this season, it's next season I'm curious about.

Hal gill, seriously? 3 former captains on this team and we need gill in here for a locker room presence? How do you lead from cite suite? You don't. Same old flyers

We had to replace ex-captain Briere.
Imagine if we'd have kept him, we'd have 5 players who'd been captains.

Also, we need a new player who won't be playing much to gripe about as the Rosehill crying is getting old.

The Leafs led the league in fights last year, so I fully expect to see Rosehill tomorrow night.

I'm not saying I want to see him play, but if they dress him against the Leafs, I'll understand.

I would take the following eastern conference d cores over our own

Toronto
Ottawa
Boston
Rangers
Montreal
Detroit
Pittsburgh

This is not one of the best d cores
