She wants to take lessons. She's 10 - average size - never played before. I was looking at Daisy Rock guitars - not sure if they are good, and wondering if she needs a short scale (22.5") or just start with a standard scale?

you can get a nice yamaha acoustic for not too much money and they are always solid (not flashy) and stand up well to a child's well.. carelessness lol.
