Actually Streit is more of a replacement for Carle, we lacked a puck moving D-man, When Vinny is healthy he is a point per game player and he is a upgrade over Briere, Mason and Emery are both better than Bryz, if you knew about the flyers than you would know what exactly was their problem this past season. Ineffective in clearing their zone because we had a minor league defense for more than half the season, Bryz cant make big stops if any, Mason played better with the same defense and had .944 s%, funny how that works!!! Just cause you hate the flyers doesnt mean you cant respect this organizations ability to consistently make the playoffs, they'll be back. Remmeber my screen name and message me come playoff time. Hopefully we see a Flyers-Leafs series.... its been awhile.

Ive played hockey all my life and I will tell you that a player that makes his linemates better, wins faceoffs and plays the top unit PK, is more valuable than a "Sniper". Do you even own skates????

But Phil would have gotten 8+ on the open market.
I wish Phil would bring more to the table and I would feel better having 8 million in cap space going to player who brings a little more...but he's getting paid what he would be getting paid with any other team.

So it is what it is.

And if he scores 40 goals and 80-90pts....all the better.

Plus he's had to play with Bozak and he continues to produce what he does.....thats amazing!

How are Couts and Schenn looking? I also see that Laughton may make the team? I always love the centres you guys draft. Its a great approach really, because you can always convert the overabundance of centres into wingers or make great trades. Sucks about Bobrovsky, but Emery is a battler. Think he's going to fit right in on Philly.
