You forget that we got rid of Bryz, dude was a pylon between the pipes and our all of our defense was injured for at least 3/4 of the season besides Schenn and missed the playoffs by 5 pts, I think if it was a full season they were in, There is a reason we havent missed the playoffs but twice in the last 18 years

We have this season to figure that out. I would like to keep both. Essentially the leafs just used up the Tucker and Armstrong buyouts on Kessel. Now they have to hope the cap goes up to cover Franson (2M) and Dion (6.5M). The Liles buyout will cover their other RFAs/UFAs.

If we can keep Dion at his current amount then we'll definitely have room for Franson. I don't think Dion deserves a raise, so let's hope Nonis and Dion feel the same way

Actually Streit is more of a replacement for Carle, we lacked a puck moving D-man, When Vinny is healthy he is a point per game player and he is a upgrade over Briere, Mason and Emery are both better than Bryz, if you knew about the flyers than you would know what exactly was their problem this past season. Ineffective in clearing their zone because we had a minor league defense for more than half the season, Bryz cant make big stops if any, Mason played better with the same defense and had .944 s%, funny how that works!!! Just cause you hate the flyers doesnt mean you cant respect this organizations ability to consistently make the playoffs, they'll be back. Remmeber my screen name and message me come playoff time. Hopefully we see a Flyers-Leafs series.... its been awhile.
