I just hope I don't see him bail on the boards TOO many times this year.
Obviously I don't mind as much when someone like Chara is chugging down the boards...but it's some of the other bails that hurt his value.

i understand all that. i also know he scored something like 6 goals in the last 38 games last year after a torrid start. like i said to big D, i don't think Clarkson was signed to score at a top-6 pace. Leafs have plenty of wingers who can put the puck in the net. so i don't think Clarkson scoring 15-18 per season is a failure. like you said, if he can open up lanes for other players that's just as good.

Let's hope he doesn't come out like Komisarek thinking he has to do too much and be in the sin bin every 2nd shift.

i think close to 50 points is setting the bar incredibly high for him. this is a guy whose career average is in the 30-35 range. i think if (given his suspension) he hits 15 goals, 20 assists this year, Leaf fans should be happy as a pig in poop.
