I do get a chuckle out of how folks treat this shutdown like it's a big deal. It's shutdown something like 17 times over the last three decades and most can't name more than one of those occasions.
Hell, this will be the most efficient day Washington has had in ages!

I said it a few seasons ago & ill say it again now... 5 or so years down the road... JT may be the player that needs to be moved to put this team over the top as a championship team... He would bring back a kings ransom of established players, and Strome by that point could very well slide into the #1 center spot. Im not saying this is what I want... I want JT to retire MANY years from now as a career NY Islander. Just saying... anything could happen.

Yep, along with Philadelphia tightening up their defense with the addition of Mark Streit
