My last one that I was done writing halfway through yesterday morning on players that were waived appears to have disappeared from my laptop so I decided to just write this one instead.

Edit: I figured out the comment system, just avoid any punctuation outside of commas and periods and it should work.

Clash of the Titans right off the bat, Nucker v Fosco in week 1

Also, to everyone not in the pool who are going to start complaining that all anyone talks about is the pool, tough sh!t, if you don't like it, change the subject

- 1970vintage

Pffftt, easy win! If Fosco doesn't show his face around here that means he's clearly too afraid of Nucker Nation.

Would have liked to have seen him get at least one game but Torts' comments yesterday were pretty revealing. After Drouin got sent down I think it made it a lot of other teams to follow suit.

I'm not disappointed, I thought both "kids" should have gone back to their CHL teams. It's a bit annoying to hear Gillis try and blow smoke up the fans asses about how good they played and how much they deserved an opportunity to play on the Canucks, all the while being completely uncommitted about them actually starting a game this season.

Yeah, I totally agree. Shinkaruk is good enough at this point, but the only thing holding him back is strength and conditioning. He's more NHL-ready than Horvat is right now IMO, which is a bit surprising. I bet both and Gaunce as well will really make a strong push next season to make the roster.

Thanks! I figured out the comment system, just avoid any punctuation outside of commas and periods and it should work.

Of the 2013 Draft Class - who is left up? McKinnon, Jones and Dallas's Nuskin (I know I spelled that right, it's everyone else whose wrong)

I agree, another year of Growth should do all three wonders, hopefully Gaunce works on his skating so he has a legit shot. How many more years are we stuck with Kelser anyway?

All on teams that would consider a playoff spot to be a good year. Which makes sense since they'd draft highest.

Could be next year the Nucks have 4 recent first rounders in their lineup!

It pi$ses me off to no end when you hear both Gillis and Tortorella state how the team needs a serious youth movement and the players who legitimately earn a spot get sent down. Pretty sad considering it doesn't look like they will get rid of Alberts or Weise. What they see in these guys who knows. Jensen better make the team. I like that they aren't rushing them but its still irritating.

It looks like we have one body to drop or send down, hope it's Alberts.

Youre being a bipolar man.....dont be so dramatic. At the end of the day both BoHo and HuSh were not good enough to make the team. Its in their best interest to get lots of PT with their junior teams. Same with Corrado, they felt it was best to get worked like a female dog in the A over playing sparingly as a 6/7 guy.

It doesnt make sense to plug in younger guys just because they are younger if they arent going to help your team. Not to mention the business side (One way contracts etc..)

I sure as hell hope that Jensen DOES NOT make this team - he was (frank)ing brutal in presseason.....

The youth will come next year, hopefully they will be bigger, faster and more mature.

So Santorelli, Dalpe, and Richardson are the new forward additions for this season. Is this 'all in' or is this a 're-tool'?

To be honest I was hoping (and expecting) more.

Pretty unexciting put that way.

Canucks are going to need some close to career years out of this bunch to go anywhere.

Really? I thought it was fairly obvious that neither were ready to make the team this year. Let them play a lot and dominate in junior. Both will make Team Canada and Horvat already has a ticket to the memorial cup. They'll both make the team next year.
