It's amazing that out of all their recent early draft picks, none of them proved to be a leader worthy of the "C"?

- l3ig_l2ecl

Why would you give the C to a 20 yr old kid?

Hey who knows, maybe Ferrence isn't really the piece of poop he was in Boston.

I was questioning the "strikes fear" part.

But yeah, Ferrence as captain is a weird choice.

I think it's less that than it is a cartoonishly inept front office, starting with "I have six Stanley Cup rings and I drive a Dodge Stratus!"

It's possible, It could be the enviroment in Bawstin that turns people into bumholes.

I know I would want to kill people if i had to listen to that accent every day.

Gagne 24, Shultz 23, Eberle 23, Hall 21, N-H 20, Yakupov 19.

Besides Gagne, the other is your core for years to come. Make them a leader now, not some guy who will likely be traded, waived by two years time who is also past their prime at 34.

Well their only mentor in their short career has been Shawn Horcoff. Maybe a year or two with a guy who knows what it takes to win as their leader is a push in the right direction, no?

I don't think it is. I think putting responsibility on your young stars is going to be better for them than having some old guy taking the blame.

Crosby became at 19
Ovechkin at 24 (he didn't even speak English)
Toews at 20

And he will be gone beofre Ference will.

They could had given it to Eberle, But why do that if you plan On giving it to Hall in a few years if he shows that he has leadership skills.
