This is interesting because unlike trade deadline day, something literally has to happen, even if it's just throwing JJ and Teds on IR, which I think would be silly.

Jagr said today he planned on playing opening night so I don't really think they're going to throw him on IR. If we send Larsson to Albany just to get down to 23 men I'll be pretty upset...

Ideally in the next hour we trade one of Fayne/Harrold and one of JJ/Ted/Gionta to someone for picks/prospects. Ideally Harrold and Gionta in my opinion.

Sounds like Brodeur is mentally ready for our first game but isn't sure if he will be physically. He said this practice was hard on him after four days of not playing and just the all around emotional drain on his body from his father passing.

This is the hockeybuzz league I've been running the past 3 years. Full rosters, 1 goalie. Stats include BLKS, Hits, FW, etc.

Draft is TONIGHT at 10:15pm EST. .. expect it to be upwards of 2 hours in length. Bring some popcorn.. a beer.. cereal.. whatever.


may or may not be for money- just 10 bucks. Still on the fence with that. Leaning towards no because it's just not fair to guys that can't make the draft. maybe i'll make it $5 so I don't feel as bad. Or maybe nothing at all.

The 8 playoff teams would get their $10 back. 2 divisions- president's trophy gets bonus 10, other div winner gets bonus 5. Overall winner gets 45, 2nd place 30, 3rd place 20. 5th place (consolation winner) would get 10.
