Most of the vegetarians I know abstain from meat because of the treatment of them. Fish aren't really subjected to cruelty during the process.

True. We all swallow hooks or get trapped in nets. Anything being "harvested" for human consumption is more than likely being subjected to cruelty in one form or another.

Yeah that's the one I was talking about because vegetarians were originally started, I believe, because they thought it was cruel to eat animals so then they make a new one to eat some animals which completely throws the initial reasoning for vegetarians out the window.

they don't mind jabbing a piece of steel in a fishes mouth and yanking it from the ocean because fish are ugly. Smack a seal in the back of the head with a bat and they go apesh1t because seals are considered cute. Fuking hypocrites

I used to.

Then I stopped playing as goalie, and moved to playing forward instead.

Much better

I miss the recess ball hockey league. Where backpacks were goal posts, hats were glove hand and jackets were both chest protector and goalie pads.

yeah, or a lot of people do just fish for health reasons, or perceive seafood as less sentient than some of the land animals so don't feel so bad about eating them

What happens to beef, chicken etc in slaughterhouses is far far worse. Getting trapped in the wild is not even close to being bred and raised in captivity.

Both should be, he's playing scared and another year of junior domination and he'd be on top of the world.

Interesting, they do moose, you don't see that a lot. I had a lot of moose growing up, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Elk is pretty good.

It kills me, goose is really good and we have all these Canada geese all over the place like seagulls, but we don't eat them because it's perceived the same as a rat or something. When those Canada geese along with all the pigeons around are all very good eating.

I havent seen the list, and by the sounds of it, it's not worth the bother.

Speaking of projections, have TSN, SI, ESPN, HockeyNews, Bleacher Report and Sportsnet all picked the Leafs to miss the playoffs yet?

- systemtool

I don't know about the others, but THN picked them to make it.

and Corsi picked them like 3rd worse

Meh, not ready IMO but I've only watched a short sample and he looked scared or impatient and dished the puck away before he had too.

Oct 1 we shall see

100% hope I'm wrong

and Schenn was 18 right out of the draft, and Reilly is 19 and 2 years removed from the draft.

That should be almost exactly

Pacioretty/Desharnais/Briere
Gionta/Plekanec/Bourque
Gallagher/Eller/Galchenyuk
Parros/Prust/Moen

Subban/Gorges
Markov/Diaz
Bouillon/Tinordi

Price

Bournival and White scratched

95% chance that's the line up Tuesday.

I'm doing two fantasy drafts in a few hours. Do you guys have any gem picks you would suggest and why, and/or who are some players you feel will drop this year

Any general fantasy hockey thoughts are welcome, I need an edge on the (frank)ers in these pools
