Phillies assured at least the 8th pick which will be protected.

I agree, but they could win this game. Denver has been on the field for a long time.

Uh oh. Looks like Ek is saying Hall and Mez to a team to shed some cap space... lol

That makes sense knowing that they just put Hall on waivers, but we shall see..

By the way... The Eagles do suck, Go Cowboys

Ok, so once you're @23 or under as of 5 PM today all is good?

No, 5 PM Monday. As of right now, Assuming Hall & Gervais get sent to AHL, they'll still need to clear $16,022 to be under the cap and utilize full LTIR benefit from Pronger

Too late. Had to be on by noon today to clear in time.

They can send Schenn or Couturier to the AHL on paper to get under.

Actually, they might be able to get enough by sending MAB down, with Hall and Gervais. I know he cleared waivers last week, but not sure if he was assigned to the AHL yet.
*Edit Capgeek doesn't list MAB with Flyers, but Dave Isaac of the Courier Post says they haven't sent him to AHL as yet

i loved that fourth line that year

montreal even tried to trade for betts but we all know how that ended

That lousy 16K. What's SChenn's Cap hit without the bonuses? I read 900K which would be perfect if they drop him and bring up Gervais?

It amazes me that a team like the Flames isn't willing to take a shot on Mez. Their D roster is scary bad.

Then again, this is Feaster we're talking about.

They can make it relatively easy, just have to shuffle some players around organizationally.

maybe... but we haven't had that player since betts was sort of healthy

so in my opinion i prefer they keep hall instead of a cement head and I prefer it so much it pissed me right off that he was waived

i am still a little ticked off today in fact

I don't think mr. Snider cares about fan favorites or our likes or dislikes....his team, his money and he will always have an enforcer......always!!!!!

Wonder if he cares that his team hasn't won a Stanley Cup since Gerald Ford was President.

That's what I find confusing. Pannacio keeps talking about placing MAB on LTIR. Why would they do that? He cleared Waviers and can be assigned to the AHL.

Doesn't sending Coots down on paper for a few hours seem a bit like cap circumvention?

No idea. Snider talked about putting him on LTIR earlier in camp, so maybe Tim's basing his writing on that?

If they temporarily assign B Schenn to the AHL, it would remove the full 3.110M from the Cap.

Sure. And it is technically cap circumvention...but it's totally legal.

I think it's Holmgren that wants an enforcer, rather then Snider. I don't have a problem with it.
