Shinkaruk is going to be the steal of this past draft. I hope he gets his 9 games and goes back to junior though. Let him dominate the WHL and win MVP at the World Jr's then bring him in full time next season to win the Calder. He is going to be a star. |

Sleeper? The guy was easily the most NHL ready of all players in the draft. I think a lot of people have him as their Calder pick. Thought for sure Gillis was going to take him after the Schneider trade. |

Mine is on the beach and no point of emptying because waves fill it up in an hour. I only put it in the day before the storm. Truck broke down so (frank) it...

Where the Sabres fans telling us that they ripped us off for Sulzer? He was supposed to be the steal of a throw-in in that trade.
Now that the preseason is done, I'm once again pissed off about Kassian's suspension. 5 games is brutal! - micah555
Technically the trade was Sulzer for MAG's. Fact, trade was submitted separately and after the Coho/Kas trade.
With that being said,,, they definitely robbed us.

the poster I found on the internet says its a pre-season game, likely just to spread the word to surrounding communities. Like a Canucks pre-season game in Victoria. |

Read an article the other day that broke down the numbers and suggested he is ahead of the curb of his NHL comparibles and "on the fast track" and is far from a bust. |

Nope.
I think he'll become more popular when people stop overrating him. He's not as big and tough as people want him to be. He has never been as physical as people want him to be for any kind of consistency. He's definitely not as big as all the power forwards people compare him to and his on ice IQ pretty modest. Peoples expectations need to come down to earth. Its really not fair to Kassian.
I know you like to compare him to Bertuzzi as far as development goes and how long it takes but Bert was 240 lbs and a couple of inches taller. That makes it much easier to be a successful power forward over Kassians 210/215 lbs... I don't feel there is a Bertuzzi type power forward there... just not big or skilled enough. If Kassian ends up a 3rd liner in his prime, I wont be disappointed.
