Technically true, but the Flames team is awful so I doubt it will end up mattering they have less teams.

Alot of rebuilding to do there...

4th or 5th with Montreal. we're both a notch below the top 3 teams in the division sadly.

Only thing I'll remember about this game is how horribly inconsistent the refs were.

They call Franzen for the weakest hook on Gunnarsson that I can remember. Kadri scores a PPG on it and gets the Leafs right back in the game. So bad call impacts the game.

End of the 2nd Kronwall cross checks JVR, from behind, into the boards, without the puck... and no penalty... but they'll call JVR for chirping the ref about it which leads to the Zetterberg PPG at the end of the 2nd which turns out to be the game winner. Once again missed call/bad call has a major impact on the game.

I missed hockey but I sure didn't miss the horrendous inconsistency of the NHL refs.

Yep same crap as last year. Including game 7!!! I keep telling myself it equals itself out throughout the year to avoid the frustration.

Most previews I had seen has Boston first and Wings second.
Look at it this way.. They just schooled NHL roster Leafs
with the 2nd line playing together for the first time ever and without 2/3rds of the 3rd line.

Boston, IMO, is the only lock, and even then they didn't finish first in the division last year. Im not sold on the Sens being a lock...Wings...I guess I can see that.

dude it was preseason. wouldn't get too excited about it. i can see the Wings challenging for the division but if i had to put money on it, it'd be Boston-Ott-Det

Are we really going to read that much into preseason?

Im not saying the Wings aren't the better team, but I am saying that using the preseason to determine who is better and who will be a good team this year is absurd.

The problem with most previews is that they're mostly wrong.
