Redden didn't get sent down from lack of talent. He got sent down because they didn't want his cap hit on the roster.
Has Reddon cleaned up his his cocaine problems?

what is odd to see is all the individuals that think the nucks will have some choice about signing the sedins long term. They arn't rfa's. If they don't offer them 8 years and bucks, then someone else, with the cap rising, will offer them 7 years and bucks. Sure signing them to a 3-4 year deal would be best for the team, but guess what... tough poop. they are still top 30 players in the league and will be payed like that on term and money. By the nucks or someone else. People thinking otherwise need to put down their xbox controllers and look at reality. and as a fan it is sad. If anyone thinks the last lockout changed a league that handed out contracts like kovy, suter, parise, then they are fooling themselves. I know how old the sedins are and it's not gonna mean squat come contract time. IMO of course

Only in the most dire situations does a kid get called up from Junior in season. Its very rare. Horvat would probably be ahead of Gaunce in that kind of emergency.

Is that even allowed? I think Vintage is right, he can only be called up once his team is finished it's season. Maybe I'm wrong though.

There is or was recently a rule that in a situation where you have exhausted your options, you can call up from junior. Very rarely happened in the past...

Now, that may have changed without me hearing but this topic has been covered on here in the past to many peoples surprise including my own.

It seems this rule has been used mostly for goalies in the past.

If you didnt have 6 healthy D in your system, you can activate the rule to pluck one from junior. Most would play forwards instead but you get the idea.
