You insinuated and implied it. He was given just punishment. As just as slashing infractions get. Have you found any other slashing below the waist suspensions yet? I didn't think so. Stop over reacting, really.

And here is our ultimate difference my friend. I feel it wasn't your standard slashing penalty.

It was between the whistles, it was two handed, it was multiple times, and it was when his opponent was restrained by teammates and officials. It was also the second time in two nights that when he was physically engaged with another opponent he opted to hack at them.

Not standard. Sorry. Not overreacting. Calling it like I see it. Overreacting would be crying for a 10-gamer or something.

If this is Crosby doing the same thing to Frazer McLaren how would you be reacting right now? I doubt you would be so vehemently jumping to the defense of Crosby.

I would actually. The evidence is right before your eyes. Slashing below the waist has never been an offense that sees suspension. Whether its Crosby, Kessel or Alfredsson. It's not the big deal you're making it out to be.

While I don't agree with the slashing, im not here to defend Kessel, but the whole scenario was out of the ordinary, and to single out Kessel and absolve Scott shows your bias...even while you try to point out mine.

If McLaren ever went after Crosby, I would lose all respect for McLaren and wouldn't crucify Crosby if he slashed him a few times. Nor, given the history of the NHLs approach to slashing below the waist, would I expect any suspension.

That's ultimately one thing we can agree on.

Trust me, I agree with you on Kessel and his "axe".

I hate it and he needs to cut it out. I was pissed when he did it to Schenn. It's going to cost him and the team if he keeps that poop up.

Dougy did it all the time. Did he cost the team?

There is nothing anyone can say say to convince a Leaf fan how Kessel got off with a gift suspension.

Brown going to man up on Thursday night for his cheap shot late last season that put Wild forward, Jason Pominville, out for pretty much the rest of the season and playoffs?

Or is he/they going to play the "I'm still hurt" card. Personally, I hope that he man's up instead of wussing out/being allowed to wuss out. Not that the Wild will necessarily make him answer for it, but a good go with Konopka or, God forbid, Pominville himself would be a fine way to put it to bed at the drop of the puck and a fun way to open this season.

By the way, I have picked the Kings to come out of the West and play the Red Wings for the Stanley Cup, so this post is not all hate and vitroil
