Totally agree. If Cory has a down year and only has a .92 sv%. That would be great. If we had had that last season, we only would have given up 88 goals. As opposed to the 117 we gave up thanks to our abysmal sv% of .89; which was mainly driven by Hedberg.

I don't like the Rangers depth and Phily's goaltending. Caps have some decent talent on their top two lines. Hard to think of them not near the top. I thin CBJ have the potential to be the upset team in this division. The have the right pieces to make it tough for teams to play against. Plus they are underrated so they will face a fair share of backup goalies.

I will give anyone 100/1 odds that the devils don't finish 2nd this year. Which is good. Vegas is only giving 20/1.

My Craziest prediction (which could NEVER happen) is.. Tim Thomas dealt at from Florida to backup Fleury and then takes over and leads the team to a Cup.

Just because we actually like the way this team is being built for the first time in nearly two decades and our confidence is up doesn't mean we are cocky. Obviously people can do whatever the hell they want, and I encourage it. I've personally noticed an incremental increase in the poop talking, which is fine, but it has made me hope for a nice phat crow sandwich being rammed down their throats. It's a system of checks and balances.

theres nothing to give back....plus no cap room, it would have to be martin and a pick if pens want both fleury and thomas... but a goalie swap might be a different story....

but in Shero we trust... so fleury will be the starter until he falters... and If, not when he does, then i have no idea what pens will do.... all i know is fleury will get them to playoffs who knows if he will be mentally ready tho...

What you're missing is that Ovechkin is good, Kovy sucks. The guy scored 3 even strength goals last season. The guy had been getting double shifted with the 4th line for 3 years regularly and never once scored a goal. He can't do anything without other players around him. I've watched Kovy play every game for the Devils. He was good in the second half of his first full season, other than that he sucks. Patrik Elias (nicest player and best hockey IQ ever) regularly bashes on Kovy to the media (in code of course). I trust Elias to know that the guy is awful.
