Yet he's still on the ice more then any other forward

You have yet to tell anyone HOW Blowzak is the reason why Kessel has had career years.

a 40 point center is the reason why Kessel is a PPG player.

- jbold

If Kessel is happy with him, and Phil produces at a PPG pace with him as his centre, why would you disturb Phil just to shoe horn in a true number one centre?

With Clarkson and Lupul on the 2nd line with Kadri, they've obviously decided to spend some money to balance out two scoring lines instead.

There are more ways to win in this league than loading up on a number 1 C. Heck, Pittsburgh has doubled down with two of them, yet they reeked against the Bruins.

He draws players away from Kessel because his skill is respected around the league. I mean he doesn't assist on Kessel's goals or finish any of the plays started by Kessel so that's the only explaination.

He's on the ice and contributes in ways that YOU unfortunately can't see bc it isn't on the stat sheet.

So we shouldnt get a legit PPG first line center. Because Phil is "Happy" that Bozak is on the ice when he is?

Yeah... Makes sense.

Maybe Phil would be happier if the Leafs won more games and he put up more points alongside an actuall GOOD center..

And you have yet to name them.

His faceoffs, below average physical player, and below average defensive coverage is probably it, though.

Come on. Name them. So we can all laugh at how you're grasping at straws

Franson contributed more on Kessels goals last season than Bozak.

And had more points.

That's embarrassing.

- jbold

With Phaneuf, Gardiner, Franson, and Rielly in our line up for the foreseeable future, our defense will be one of the highest scoring blueline cores for several years to come.

That kind of embarrassment I can live with.

He had 7 more takeaways than Kulemin and McClement.

Therefor, Kulemin and McClement could easily contribute close to what Bozak did on Phil Kessels season.

Think being able to retrieve the puck contributes to offense?

The only thing Bozak does well is win faceoffs, score in the shootout, and keep Kessel happy by playing video games with him in between games. Well worth $4M per season over 5 years.

First in takeaways and 2nd amongst forwards in turnovers.

Really contributes to Phils offense.

Apparently McClement can be Kessels centermen by that logic. You know, he was 2nd on the team in takeaways

Do they play with Kessel? How about faceoff wins? Think they contribute to offense?

And these are just little stats you can read. How about watching a game and seeing body position. These are things real hockey people look at.

Great. So all we need to do is put Jay McClement on the first line.

He's just as good as Bozak in terms of faceoffs and takeaways.

I can't believe how daft you are
