On the Leafs board they're debating whether Reimer or Bernier should play in the season opener against the Habs. Ideally, the Habs would prefer to see both in the same game--in any order.

Not that I like Leblanc that much but to be fair:


Leblanc : .43 PPG in the AHL, .24 PPG in the NHL, no NHL playoff experience

Kreider : .48 PPG in the AHL, .13 PPG in the NHL, .34 PPG in the playoffs


Both are in the AHL right now. Still early to decide who's the biggest bust.

Let's compare them to two players that just got traded yesterday. They were both drafted in 2008, one year before:


Dalpe : .77 PPG in the AHL, .24 PPG in the NHL, no NHL playoff experience

Colbourne : .59 PPG in the AHL, .38 PPG in the NHL, 0 PPG in the playoffs


Therefore, we could conclude they all suck.

Not that I like Leblanc that much but to be fair:


Leblanc : .43 PPG in the AHL, .24 PPG in the NHL, no NHL playoff experience

Kreider : .48 PPG in the AHL, .13 PPG in the NHL, .34 PPG in the playoffs

It's a decision that will be second guessed no matter what. Start Reimer and you're sitting a guy who cost you Frattin and a second on opening night in his hometow . Start Bernier and you're benching the guy who dragged you into the playoffs for the first time in a decade on opening night against your bigger rival. I think it should be Reimer though. He earned that start last year and Bernier should have to win the job from him, not have it handed to him by fat Dave.
