no chance they will do that, unless the Canadiens are in the crapper. And even then, I'm not sure they would.

Also, Beaulieu isn't even the first call up right now on the blue line, he's gotta have a really good year to get into the conversation.

He seems at least a year away from playing here. And taking over for Markov?? Maybe in 2-3 years he'll be a viable option to do that.

- EricEngels

Beaulieu was the top scorer last year for the Bulldogs with a immensely crappy start probably because of his attitude which is hism ajor setback. He finished the season racking points per game.

He's the smoothest skater out there, good size. If he gets his poop together his skill is already at NHL level.

by the time Emelin is ready, i'm sure someone in the top 6 will be hurt. the team won't be completely healthy by December.

as for Briere, he's looked OK, about what you expect.

i certainly hope Eller takes a step forward and allows Therrien to ease the burden on Tomas Plekanec. his play always drops off after the 50-game mark and he's usually gassed by the playoffs. would be nice to see Eller shoulder some of the defensive load.

as for Tuesday, should be an easy 2 points to get the ball rolling.

Especially on the PK I wish someone else could take that spot for him although he's damn good at it.

for me it's more the matchups against the other team's top line. but if Eller is gonna play with Galchenyuk and Gallagher, that's not gonna happen.

whatever it takes for him not to be on the ice for 59 minutes a game which is sometimes what it seems like.

not really because PK was thicker and liked to lay the body and you could see defensive promise in him. Beaulieu, not so much. but he's very talented.

Also EE,

I believe the Habs have to have 23 contracts in the AHL on Oct 1st, if both Tinordi and Bournival are part of it, it means one of the other forwards has to be sent down/traded as there are currently 14 forwards in the NHL and 8 D'S + 2 goalies.

- QuebecPride

I was thinking about that. They have 24 players (25 with Drewinski). My guess is Bournival will get sent down unless Prust is on Injury Reserve?

big difference between having NHL skills and being a dependable NHL player. He's not there yet, and there's nothing wrong with that. He'll get there and be really good if they handle him right. He has a lot to work on.

So Therrien comfirms Bournival on the 23 man roster and then sends him down to Hamilton the next day?

Not that impressive considering it was only 31 points in 67 games.

I think there's less pressure on Plekanec to be the offensive guy. Doesn't mean he can't largely contribute on that end--and he will.

The Canadiens have two second lines, and one of them is more defensive and the other more offensive.

There's real good balance and depth up front this year.

He's more physical than what he showed in his last game. He comes back form a separated shoulder, he said he was a little worried about it when he hit.

- QuebecPride

Well something's up because the roster has too many players..

Maybe they are trying to trade DD, which would explain the over hype by his two linemates. Anyone think Galchenyuk would do a good job between Pac and Briere?
