I think Horvat on the 4th line with Sestito and whoever is a complete waste. If Corrado gets sent down because 15 minutes isn't enough on the 3rd pairing how can you justify Horvat for 8 minutes per night. Santorelli has earned his ice, but may just give that 4th line the boost its needed for years.

I agree. I still like the lines I came up with though. The 4th line can play more than 10 minutes, especially when Kassian is back..you could have both Weise and Sestito out of the lineup which gives you 4 pretty decent lines. Sestito is just awful, if I had to choose between he and Weise, it's actually Weise by a decent margin.

I would have waived both him and Alberts.

If the two "Kids" are going to be in the lineup I would rather not bury them at the bottom and then be afraid to play them. I'm sure your blog will be full of all kinds of analysis, here's what I hope for on day 1:

Sedin/Sedin/Burrows
Booth/Kesler/Shinkaruk
Higgins/Horvat/Hansen - the triple H line eh?
Richardson/Santorelli/Weise

To me that is four lines that can all play

Not really sure about the D, do you go Hamhuis/Bieksa together, or Hamhuis/Garrison? If you go Hamhuis/Bieksa does Garrison go on the 3rd pairing? I'd kind of like to see three balanced pairings that can all play roughly 20 minutes.

Santorelli and booth are together on the third line -i'd guess starting with shink then kassian or hansen.notably Amex line was good before booth got kneed so i see that returning at some point too. I think booth will do well this year but in about 60 games

Horvat might get some extra minutes on the wing? Keep it simple - why not join the sedins for a shift or 2?

I actually see a lot of choice and change happening in the first 10 games. We will probably be around 500with lou stealing a few games. Then we will have a sweet november end of november. Love it when the canucks start to role and whistler opens....best saturdays ever!

he's a better play maker than anyone on the entire flames roster...comparing him to a HOF'er is moronic, but I expect nothing less when you're losing an discussion

You are my favorite type of Canucks fan ... The one with zero knowledge and zero clue... Kesler is a good player ... He has had a good season or two ... Few years ago .... No where near the player Canucks fans want him to be ..... But hey there's always beast mode right? I mean he does that once every couple years...... Let's be honest ...kesler can put the puck in the net ... You set him up and he will probably give u an Apple ..... But to say he is a playmaker that will make hunter a 50 point guy???? That is insane .... Never said kes was garbage or can score or any flame is better ....just that he is not a passer ... And cannot make hunter a 50 point guy ... No one one the Canucks can .... He is a junior player who showed skill .... If u think he is going to make the Canucks a contender then I hope you are betting on dumb luck and not anything substantial

Who is a good 4th liner? Seriously its laughable at best the way fans complain about 4th liners. We will get somebody else's "great" 4th liner and in a month u guys will be female doging again.

You're my favourite kind of flames fan, i never once said 50 points, Ian did, in his blog, I said 30-40 isn't out of the question with Kesler...I would take Kesler over every single flames player... I never once said that Hunter makes the Canucks a contender...

Broken bone in his foot I believe, out around 3 weeks. I have listed at IR. It gets even more tricky when he returns, which is why I believe that Horvat has a strong chance of being sent down unless other injuries hit or he impresses during the regular season(which we'd all love to see).
