You don't think old ED Snider is not a little gun shy after the last free agent Goalie they signed ?

I could see it happening if he allowed Holmgren to stay. If, as i hope happens, Hextall takes over then no, probably not.

The whole premise that John Scott "attacked" that dirty American Phil Kessel is false.
When I rewatch the video, I see Kessel putting his hands up and striking Scott first, then skating backwards while 2 other Leafs attacked Scott some more, then taking several 2-handed swings with his stick at Scott's legs. The spearing incident by Kessel happened after the goalie scrum, several minutes later. And for all of that, Kessel was let off with a meaningless suspension.

According to your logic, Kessel's coach should have been fined for his players' conduct. And note I didn't even mention Clarkson.

Holy cow give it a rest. It's no wonder fans of other teams on this site think Sabres fans are a bunch of whiners.

Time to move on from Miller. Enroth looks promising.

Try to get something for RM while you can.

Too late, who trades for a goalie mid season? I know we aren't there yet, but they aren't trading him now.

Besides, I would like Miller to stay. He is not the reason this team hasn't been good the last few years. While He wasn't right after the concussion, I believe he is finally back to form.

In saying that, i don't think he is as good as he was before the concussion, but he is where he would be had it not happened imo.

Also, he is so passionate and his work ethic is so great that it is a great example for younger guys in the room, regardless of the fact that he's a goalie not a skater. His whole career he hasn't been the most talented but has been known as the hardest working to make sure that he makes up for any flaws he has.

As said before, he IS the face of the franchise, having him in another uniform would be disheartening.

Last year 4 goalies were traded within 24 hours of the deadline. If you're a playoff bound team battling for the division title and all of a sudden your goalie is out indefinitely, it might not be a bad idea to overpay to make sure one injury doesn't cost you a long playoff run.

If the defense shows improvement this year and the possibility of being a good unit for some years to come, I would not be opposed to paying Miller $5 million for six years.

I know he is an average goalie at best, but with a good defense, I feel like he can succeed.

And maybe I am being a little bit of a Buffalo homer here, but it only seems right that he stays a Sabre for his whole career and retires as one. I think he is one of those Buffalo sports types that people would want for that to happen. He has been the face of the franchise for quite a while.

C'mon he is way better that "average at best". He is at least "very good at best". With a defense that doesn't leave him dealing with a dozen odd man rushes a game he is a guy that can take you far into the playoffs. He was hung out to dry so many times the past few years (especially last year) its hard to belive he was as successful as he has been.
With Enroth more than capable of taking on 20+ games this team would be more than secure at goalie for the next few years.

Most "hard core" Buffalo sports fans are whiners. They are the worst.
