Does Nash have a point in preseason, talk about starting off on the wrong foot, this is either nothing or the start of the wheels coming off the organization

Threw on the game for the first two LA goals and then turned it off. Haven't caught any yet but man. This team changes too often. If it's not new players a new coach, nothing ever sticks. Hopefully it gets better!

I like Allen, he's played well but honestly I don't want him in the top 8 D men to make the team. Let him go to Hartford and play 20 mins a night down there instead of sitting in the stands.

His cap hit is to high to be the 8th dman anyway. I think he goes down and plays big minutes

Honestly I think its up in the air. AV sounds like he wants to give Stepan a shot with Nash this upcoming week in practice. There is talk that Richards or Brassard could move to wing. 4 forwards are still going for 2 spots. The only thing that is locked in is the defense.

Fair enough, the Canck lines are far from set as well. The only gaurantee might be the Sedins playing together.

I believe I read somewhere this summer that Torts' Rangers were always bottom 10 in minor penalties taken while the Canucks were always top 10. Can't all be a coaching thing, especially with the Canucks rep, but something to consider.

Yea the Rangers players just never move their feet. To much standing still. I put a lot of blame on the players for the power play

I actually meant how bad the Rangers power play looks and how good the Kings one does.

I will keep a look out for what you said though. The Rangers can't afford to be shorthanded top 10 with the way things have looked so far. Thank God it's only preseason, they're getting killed

If I had a dollar for every time I hear the words high or wide when a Ranger shoots the puck towards the goal. I would have a gazillion dollars.

Think his contract is on his mind? Either that or he needs Lasik because he is getting beat cleanly on stoppable, long range shots.

It is a good thing that I am unable to watch Rangers' pre-season hockey, because I don't have any of the angst about the season that some may have. It is going to be a challening start, playing on the road, with two Top 6 forwards missing, and another behind the curve because of not having much of a camp, but if they can get through it somewhere around the .500 mark, they'll be fine.

On the roster, I would really like to see Kreider make this team, and see what he has. Also, although Miller didn't bury the puck alot last year, I thought he was pretty darn good with the Rangers given his relative youth, so I would like to see him on the roster as well.

Damn the preseason GAA are heavily factored in the Vezina discussion.

No you don't. You were the same douche that was adamant that Bailey was better than Stepan.

- blacksheep1

Produce the remark I made about Bailey better than Stepan and I will send Jan $100 to give to you. Everyone on this board as my witness.

I DID say Moulson has had THREE 30-goal seasons and he got $3.13M. Stepan hasn't proven himself for that long and he was asking for much more, at first.

Giokock can tell me where to go. I don't care.
You can call me a douche. Big deal. It's an opinion. I don't care, either.
DON"T MAKE SH!T UP BECAUSE THAT MAKES YOU A LIAR. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!

I'd rather be called a douche any day vs. being a crap talking liar. Not to mention 3rd man in on a argument based on ignorance. Typical wuss ranger move.

Great game last night.

Yea I think it would be a huge mistake not to start both Miller and Kreider on the Rangers. But with both of their cap hits over 1 million, it might be just one.

I will tell you one thing though, Richards hasn't shown me anything yet. Looks slow out there still. Not sure if he is just saving it for the season but I am really hoping bringing him back doesn't bite this team in the arse.

There has been more than enough of what not to like about this off season. Starting with the inexplicable holdout by Stepan, which achieved absolutely nothing positive, and resulted in Stepan missing the entire training camp. Then, for the third straight season having to play their entire preseason on the road going into rinks where teams are just chomping at the bit to show their fans they're ready to go. Then, adding insult to injury playing their first nine regular season games on the road, and out west for the icing on the cake.

I'm willing to take a wait and see on the team in general. After all, they are missing three of the top six forwards, and with any new coach there will be some bumps in the road as the adjusts. I'm hoping they do not suffer the same plight as the past with scoring goals, but so far, well it hasn't been good. It's troubling that none of the younger players appear to be making the team, with the exception of JT Miller who has played much better than the vets.

Anyone who thinks Lundqvist's contract status will not bother him is dead wrong. It will, he is the best player on the team and he knows it. There are those who feel the goaltender should never be the best player on the team, as he is doomed to fail if the others do not perform as he does. Something which we have seen in recent years with the Rangers. I have a feeling this will not be an easy negotiation, Hank is 32 and some would say carrying the Rangers on his back for the last few years could begin to take it's toll. I don't think it's a slam dunk, and Hank knows it.

And I'm still waiting for proof of when I predicted the Rangers to win the cup. Or the other outrageous crap I've said on this site. Talk about making crap up ! You're a freaking hypocrite. You are a crap talking liar for sure. And ranger fans here make fun of me? Really? Hypocrite. Your fellow isle fans don't even respond to your garbage.

In my opinion, the Rangers primary weakness is on the left side. I think they are relatively strong on the right wing with Nash, Callahan, and Zucarello, but I don't see alot of goal scoring ability on the left side if Kreider doesn't step up. They have Hagelin, Pouliot, and whoever else makes the team (Kreider? Miller? et.?) on the left side, and that is fairly week bunch of Kreider or Miller can't step up and score 25 goals or so. I love Hagelin. He is one of my favorite players on the club. But he will be miscast if the Rangers are planning on him scoring 30 goals. I think Hagelin is more of a 20 goal type player, who brings alot of other intangibles to the club.

If something doesn't pan out on the left side with the young guys, and the Rangers still have issues scoring, they may need to make a deal for someone who can score goals on the left wing. Kreider really needs to prove soon, that he can be that guy, because the Rangers can't wait for ever.

Absolutely, I must admit I'm puzzled by Kreider's regression. Could there be outside the rink influences having an ill effect on him? As has been mentioned before, it seems to have started last season when he was playing at Hartford during the lockout. He has pressure on him to produce, he club just cannot afford the luxury of him feeling his way, they're are not deep enough as you said. I can't help but think if he was playing with top flight center and wing mate things might be different.

One thing I just remembered. During the first week of camp, AV mentioned that with his size Kreider would be ideal to plant in front of the net on the PP. How did he go from that possibility to perhaps not making the team at all? Very puzzling.

If Rangers come out flat the first month or two does a coaching change happen?
